EPILOGUE

REENA MAE MENDREZ' POV

The strong wind blew my half-bunned hair. I can hear the waves from the sea near the reception of our wedding. I smiled. This is my dream wedding...

A BITCH Wedding

I mean...

A BEACH Wedding

Napalunok ako as my eyes went at the altar and met the gaze of the man I dearly love. He looked breathtakingly ahmm...

I suddenly run out of words as I bit my lip while staring at his face. Hindi ko maiwasang matawa sa hitsura nito particularly to the beastly make-up he is wearing.

Perhaps monstrous would fit as an adjective. Now, he literally looked like a BEAST.

Regardless, he is still breathtakingly hot in his white tuxedo and black tie.

I walked towards the altar. Well, hindi ko ito masisisi. I looked breathtakingly hot in my very own red long gown. I hated white. It symbolizes purity and I never viewed myself that way. I was a certified bitch and born a fighter, remember? I am not naïve nor am I pure. Para sa akin minahal ako ni Ric as who I am and wala akong balak magpanggap sa harapan nito at sa harapan ng Panginoon. But don't get us wrong may balak pa din naman kameng magpakasal sa simbahan and there we will follow all the traditions, all the do's and dont's.

But today, THIS IS OUR WEDDING. OUR very own version.

This is the reason why less than 30 guests ang invited sa wedding namen ngayong araw. For the reason that not everybody will understand. Only those selected few who have witnessed us defy logic and values all for love.

I bit my lip as I was walking at the altar with my parents. I grasped my parent's hands. They were cold.

Geez! Mukhang mas kabado pa ang dalawang 'to saken.

I looked at them.

I smiled. These past few days ay sobra ang pagiging close nito at ni Ric and as usual my mother kept on asking him out of this world questions but Ric calmly answered them as usual. He actually seemed to enjoy the Q and A portions with my mom. Siguro, deep within him he was craving for a mother and he found one sa katauhan ng aking ina. I have nothing against it. I love Ric and I am very willing to share my parents to him. Isa pa after today my parents are now also his parents and his parents are now also my parents. I shivered at the thought of Donya Victorina as my mother. Gawd!

I tightened my grip on my parent's hands. I am very lucky to have them as my parents.

They looked at me.

"Nay, tay" I looked up. Naiiyak kasi ako.

Sayang ang make-up! Masisira ng pag-e-emote ko! Syete!
