Memory Verses
And the children of Israel said to the Lord , “We have sinned! Do to us whatever seems best to You; only deliver us this day, we pray.” So they put away the foreign gods from among them and served the Lord . And His soul could no longer endure the misery of Israel.

God's Word
Repentance
: to feel or show that you are sorry for something bad or wrong that you did and that you want to do what is right
When people of Israel turned their back to God they experienced God's wrath but when they repent, then, God will send someone to save them.
In these verses, it shows whay is true repentance all about. There are 3 kinds of repentance.
1. False Repentance
They are those people who cry during prayer or an altar call but after that they were same as before. They continue to sin and do what is not pleasing to God.
2. Remorse Repentance
They are those people who really pray wholeheartedly and received the forgiveness of God. But after a few days or months they continue again to do sin.
3. True Repentance
They are those people who really ask God for forgiveness.
Steps for True Repentance
3.1. Realization for your own mistakes to God or people
3.2. Ask for forgiveness with heart
3.3. Give up something that causes you to sin againt God and people
3.4. Cry out to God with all your heart to cleanse you from all your wickedness
3.5. Do something that will make you more inlove with God
3.6. Have a 180 degrees changed of life
3.7. Make a firm decision of no turning back
True repentance starts with your decision to repent and not to go back in sinning.
God's Character
He is Forgiver
God's Promises
He will forgive me and help me not to go back in sinning
Life Application
I will repent wholeheartedly and will no longer commit to do sin
