DEUTERONOMY CHAPTER 23
Memory Verse
Nevertheless the Lord your God would not listen to Balaam, but the Lord your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the Lord your God loves you.
Deuteronomy 23:5 NKJVGod's Word
Balaam symbolizes our enemy, that even though he obey someone to curse the Israel, the Lord still bless His people.
Likewise, we as Christians are a blessed people upon the earth. There is no curse will be effective for us unless we allow it to enter by our disobedience.
There is a story, that the witches never curse Christians because they know that the curse will be back to them. God is with us and nothing can be against us.
And the reason why the Lord had blessed us is because He loves us. He gave His only Son for us to become free from the curse of sin. It is the Lord our God who gave us hope by giving His Son for us to be redeemed.
Jesus Himself became cursed for us to become free.Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Galatians 3:13-14 NKJVGreater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.
John 15:13-14 NKJVYou are blessed not because of what you have, you are blessed because God loves you
