NUMBERS CHAPTER 24

Memory Verse

“I see Him, but not now; I behold Him, but not near; A Star shall come out of Jacob; A Scepter shall rise out of Israel"
Numbers 24:17a NKJV

God's Word

Balaam saw the coming Messiah, and it was our Lord Jesus Christ, the Bright and Morning Star.

Saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”
Matthew 2:2 NKJV

The Star symbolizes the Light in the darkness. Jesus Christ Himself is the Light of the World the One Who will take people out of the darkness.

      Jesus also called "The Scepter"

Scepter
: a long decorated stick that is carried by a king or queen

Scepter means "Sovereignty", on which it was also prophesied in the Book of Genesis.

The scepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor a lawgiver from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes; And to Him shall  be the obedience of the people.
Genesis 49:10 NKJV

So that, to reign the light in our lives, we need to submit ourselves on our Lord Jesus Christ. For He alone has the authority to bring us out of our dark worlds and darkest hour. Jesus is the Star that will lead us in Righteousness, a Scepter that will bring us for a better future.
Let us give our lives to the one who gives light and bright future to us. Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:9‭-‬11 NKJV
