We stood in the Google intern room, listening to all the bickering and yelling being tossed around by Lyle, Yo-Yo, Neha, and the two newbies, Billy and Nick.

Everyone thought that they were too old to be interns and that they didn't know anything. It was true, as rude and mean as it was, but it was still true.

I stood next to Stuart, the love of my life.

Stuart and I met a few years back, senior year of high school. He was looking down at his phone, like always, and he just had to run into me and make me drop all my stuff. But, when I looked up at him, I just couldn't take my eyes away from him. He was amazing.

"I am so sorry." He had said that day. He kneeled down beside me and helped me with my stuff. But, once he handed me my journal, he looked up at me and there was just something that just clicked. Just the look in his eyes as he stared at me.

"I wasn't looking where I was going." He finished as he picked up the rest of my stuff and handed everything to me as we stood up. But, he never took his eyes off me.

And til this day, we have been living here in California and today was the first day of our Google Internship that we promised each other that we'd do together.

And now we're here, standing before our fellow interns as we watch and listen to them bicker at each other. I, myself, though, couldn't listen to anymore of this shit. So, I decided to go and get something to drink.

I kissed Stuart on the side of the cheek as he stared down at his phone. Right before I was about to walk away, his arm wrapped around me, pulling me back as he kissed my lips. He still stared down at his phone in the process.

Since he met me, he always learned to do that kind of thing, multitask with working on his phone while still paying all his attention to me. I was never really fond of it, but I can't just tell him to stay away from his phone. His phone was his everything and I couldn't just take that away from him so I just learned to live with it. As long as I had Stuart, I was okay. As long as he payed attention to me, then I was fine.

We pulled away as he placed a kiss on my forehead just as I walked away and towards the food court.

I went up to the counter and asked for a bottle of Pepsi. I received my free bottle of soda as I smiled and thanked the man by the name of Jake. I walked back to our little room in the Intern area. I took out my phone after getting a text from my best friend Lance.

Before I was in sight of my group, a feeling hit me, a jolt of pain through my gut. Great, the first day of my internship and my monthly "gift" absolutely had to come. Why does life hate me?

I stepped into the room and saw that everyone was still bickering as they were before. I looked over and saw that Stuart was no longer standing, but was sitting on the couch surrounded by pillows. I walk to Stuart and sit down in his lap as he pulls me back against him. He wraps his arms around my waist as I lay down on top of him. I take my phone and tap on Color Therapy, plugging in my earbuds and turning on some music, James Arthur to be exact.

After coloring a few picture's as Stuart holds me in his arms, and with the non stop bickering that's gone on for almost 2 hours now, I really just wanted to go home. I mean, we weren't supposed to be doing anything except getting to know our intern group, but we all know how that's going. Nowhere.

I turned off my phone, sliding it into my pocket and turning onto my stomach. As I lay on Stuart, I wrap my arms around his torso as he rubs my back. I love it when he does that.

I laid my head on his chest as he strokes my hair now, staring at who knows what on his phone.

As comfortable as I was, I really just wanted to go home. A headache was beginning to make it's way into my skull and nothing sounds better than cuddling with Stuart.
