❝Better to have one woman on your side than ten men.❞

Robert Jordan

"In conclusion, some products we use every day causes algae to grow in lakes," Alice poured bleach into a beaker full of water.

"Cutting off oxygen and disrupting the ecosystem," Anna then dropped a dead fish into the mixture.

"So, what we've learned is that we must choose biodegradable products to help protect our environment," Alice finished off as Anna pulled out the fish's skeleton.

"Excellent report; inspired visuals." Mr. Feeny praised, "Next team."

Shawn and Cory confidently walked up to the front of the class.

"How air pollution affects our everyday life." Cory started as Shawn pulled down the world map.

Mr. Feeny nodded his head, impressed, "Excellent topic."

Shawn and Cory held up their pointers proudly and pulled them open simultaneously before they started their presentation.

"Denver," Shawn began as he randomly slapped his pointer onto the map before Mr. Feeny raised it to the correct position, "High atop the majestic Rocky Mountains. Elevation; 5,000 feet."

"Philadelphia," Cory slapped his pointer onto the map and again, Mr. Feeny moved it lower before he continued, "Lying low in the Delaware basin, 250 feet below sea level."

"Well researched."

Elena bit her tongue to keep from laughing, she just knew this wasn't going to live up to Mr. Feeny's expectations. After all, these were her best friends and she knew them too well to believe they'd actually followed Mr. Feeny's rubric.

"Denver, clean crisp mountain air."

"Philadelphia, polluted industrial smog."

"Mile High Stadium, home of the Colorado Rockies."

"Veterans Stadium, home of the Philadelphia Phillies."

"Oh, here we go." Mr. Feeny sighed, making Elena smirk.

She loved being right.

"The Rockies, a bogus expansion team mind you, are averaging four more runs per game than anyone in the league because of their clean air," Shawn explained.

"Our theory is, if Philadelphia would clean up its smoggy air the ball would slice through the atmosphere with a greater velocity," Cory told the class.

"Therefore the Phillies would score more runs."

"And win every home game."

"The End," Shawn and Cory, one again simultaneously closed their pointers before they stood in front of Mr. Feeny smiling confidently.
