Once on land, Harry knocked on the door of the palace. Scared of whatever that could come ahead, Claire hid her body behind him.

The door opened and Victoria was there.

"Oh, hello, Harry. And I see you, Claire."

Claire's wings fluttered behind her.

"Oh, and by the way, your father is sick and tired of the 'keeping the country crime-free and the people happy' stuff, so we're not part of the government anymore," continued Victoria.

Claire popped her head out, but she put it back in an instant.

"And Harry, there's a bell."

"I won the Nobel prize, my lady," said Harry.

"did you? That's awesome! Congratulations!" Victoria laughed.

"I'm kidding," said Harry between laughs.

Everyone grew quiet with that joke. However, that silence was quickly broken when Victoria gestured Harry and Claire to get into the house.

Soon enough, Bomby came out to greet Claire, who hugged it. In return, Bomby licked Claire's rosy cheeks and hid in her fluffy wings. After that, Bomby ran up to Claire's room, with Claire trailing behind.

Claire opened up the door to her room.

The room was kept neat and tidy.

"Wow... This is great!" exclaimed Claire, who subsequently rolled on her bed.

After a while, Claire fell asleep on her bed, dreaming about the amazing things that could come in the future. With Bomby in her arms, she rolled into a ball and slept.

"Claire! It's time for dinner!"

Claire was still in her dreams.

"It's cooked by Harry!"

Claire stood up. "I'm coming!"

Of course, dinner cooked by Harry was always better. Claire decided to sit beside Harry, who was waiting for her.

Claire, in her usual fashion, asked a random question.

"Hey Harry, am I cute?"

Harry looked at her face.

Claire was staring directly into Harry.

"If that is what you think I think is cute, then you're cute," Harry said.

"What do you mean?"

"It depends on your interpretation."

Claire looked at her food and ate it without uttering a word.

At night, when Claire was about to go to sleep, Harry popped himself into Claire's bedroom. The bedroom was in complete darkness, with the only light coming from the streetlamps along Perimeter Road.

"Good night, Claire. And also, you're the cutest girl I've ever seen," Harry whispered into Claire's ear.

Claire was half awake at that time. When Harry left, Claire smiled to herself.

"Harry's so nice to me. Onate hatu kanna aite sa~ des nay aite sa~"

After that, she went to sleep.

"She's really an angel..."

________

Sorry this chapter is so short... I'm really sorry!

By the way, the italicised text is written in Romanized Creepian. The reason? The sentence is written in another language in the original Creepian book.

And spoiler alert -- it means "Should I love him or not?"

Second spoiler: Its literal translation is "Or I should love him of not love him".

Creepian grammar is really weird sometimes.

But anyways, stick around for the next chapter! Exams start on Wednesday, Fourth of October 29, so I might be able to write more after it ends on the Eleventh! That is, if my school cancels all post-exam activities... -_- It would be great to be able to unfold the story of Claire.
