Chapter 36: A new hand, and a new palace

A week later, Natalie was ready to be discharged from hospital. An artificial hand had been fitted, and the artificial hand worked pretty well. It listened to her commands and had her skin color, so no one would think that it was artificial.

Coincidentally, the new palace was completed at the same time. So, Herobrine sold the old palace to a foreigner who wanted to manage the Carrenian Emerald. From there, he earned LOTS of money and the Carrenian Emerald rose sharply. It will rise for the next few years too.

Herobrine engaged a mover to move the furniture to the new palace. Also, the "antiques" in his old house were dusted and moved over too.

When the moving was done, a chauffeur drove them over to the new palace. However, they were surprised to see the entrance being covered by a large wooden plank.

"Is there anything that needed touch-up?" Herobrine asked.

"Oh, many! Just come and see yourself," a familiar voice said.

Then, a blade of an axe suddenly appeared in the centre of the wooden plank! The axe carved a line in the centre of the plank, then turned to the bottom left. After that, it disappeared. It reappeared again at the bottom right, carving a line to the centre.

A line was carved at the top too by a chainsaw.

Then, the plank swung open like a door and revealed the Prime Minister of The Shafterlands, Mr Mineshafter Shafter and his awesome building team.

"Hey, old friend! This must have surprised you, right? Your palace have been built with all your wanted materials! Also, we had decorated your courtyards by a little!"

The royal family entered the front courtyard and found a huge waterfall from the sides, some flowers and a statue of Bomby smiling. It was very cute. A note was on the statue, saying,"I hope that this will make your day!"

Then, they went to the rooftop courtyard. There was a HUGE slide.

"Can I ride it?" Claire asked.

"Yes you can! But remember that this leads to the sea!" Mr Shafter said.

Claire went into the slide and went down. At the halfway point, she turned into a mermaid and continued the rest of the journey.

Suddenly, a hole opened in the slide and she fell one floor into the sea! She looked up and saw that the rest of the slide led to the sea too.

Drenched, Claire went up to the beach and changed back into her human form. After that, she just went up to join her family. Accompanied by Mr Shafter, they toured around the castle to familiarise themselves.
