"School's out, bitches!" Chris yelled and I couldn't help but laugh at her enthusiasm. "What are we doing tonight?"

The girls and me were standing in front of the school gates, saying goodbye to each other for the afternoon and planning our weekend.

"I kind of need a break from all the partying." Eva sighed and Noora and I nodded, agreeing with her.

"We can have a girls' night in." Sana proposed and Vilde smiled brightly.

She laughed. "Ja, let's watch shitty movies and eat junk food and drink wine."

"I heard there's food so I'm in." I held up my hand.

"Night in sounds okay but we won't skip the next party, ja?" Chris looked at each of us, one after the other.

"Speaking of parties." Noora looked at me and wiggled her eyebrows. "What are we gonna do about your birthday?"

"Oh, ja!" Eva grinned. "That's in exactly two weeks. It's a Friday, we have to do something."

"You know I don't like parties." I muttered and frowned at them.

"Stop complaining." Sana said and slightly elbowed me. "If you don't want a party, we'll say that that's okay and then we'll throw you a surprise one."

"Oh, nei!" I widened my eyes at the thought of them making a huge deal out of it.

I hated attention on me. Especially on my birthday. I just felt uncomfortable. I thought it was the worst to have a party thrown just for you. Especially one of those full of horny and drunk teenagers. I wouldn't say anything against a small get-together but I definitely didn't want a huge party.

"We can talk about this later tonight, girls, I have to go grab lunch with Magnus now." Vilde spoke up again after she had glanced onto her phone.

"Ja, okay, how about we meet at around seven at mine?" Eva said. "My mom's gone for the weekend again and she said that I could invite girlfriends if we're not drinking."

"Sounds good." Noora gave her a thumbs up and we all laughed at her gesture.

We said goodbye and split up. Noora and Eva were off to go shopping since all the winter stuff was on sale now, Chris had to go home and have lunch with her family, Vilde had plans with Magnus and Sana and me had decided that we wanted to grab a Hot Chocolate or a tea at the Sjø again before going back to mine to watch some Netflix.

When we arrived at he café, we reconsidered to just take a seat inside and stay there for a while. We took our usual spot by the window and Sana went to grab us food and drinks.
I fished my phone out of my backpack and scrunched my face up at the many notifications on my lock screen.

"Look at this!" I almost shoved the phone in Sana's face as she was returning with cake and tea to the table. "I haven't been this popular since I was the secret gum dealer in primary school."
