"I'm visiting family actually. My mom's been bugging me to go out and meet her and I've finally decided to make the drive this weekend."

"Is it far?"

"Not really, just five hours drive from here."

"Oh. And you're going all alone?"

"Yes. Why?"

"Just... Be safe."

"Yeah, of course. Brendan, you do know that I've been doing this for almost two years now, right?"

"I know, I know but still. Just be careful, okay? Don't overspeed and if possible call me when you leave and after you get there?"

"You're going to make me check in with you, really?"

"Yes. Please. Just humor me, will you?"

"Ugh. Fine. But just know, I'm perfectly capable of driving back and forth by myself."

"Oh, I know babe."

"It's just... I worry, okay? I wouldn't want my sister driving home alone if home was a five hour drive from here, and I don't want you too either."

"So you think of me as your little sister?"

"Seriously? That's what you got out of it?"

" *laughs* Okay, I get it. I'll call you and check in and ease your worries blah blah blah. Happy?"

"Immensely."

"Ooh, big words. You know, it's cute to see you care so much."

"Shut up."

"So about that date. I'm free on Friday if you want."

"I'm not so sure I want to go out with someone so mean."

"Oh well. I guess I'll just find someone else to go out with."

"Did I say no?"

"It sounded like you were thinking about it."

"By 'it' if you mean how amazing you are, then yes, absolutely."

"Hmm. Maybe I'm not so sure I want to go now."

"Did I also add that you're stunning? And extremely smart? And funny?"
