"Maya come on!" He begged, gripping the cup of coffee.

"Lucas! How many times do I have to tell you no until you get the hint?!" I exclaimed.

"You're seriously never going to forgive me?"

"No"

"Maya c'mon I made one mistake!"

"One really big mistake"

"I've come here ever day this week. I've apologized at least 100 times. What else do you want me to do?" He pleaded.

"Go away. That would do the trick"

"God you're impossible" He sighed, running his fingers through his hair.

"That's the goal"

"Whatever. I'm tired of coming here and literally begging you to forgive me. I'm done. You want me gone? Fine, I'm gone" He stated, turning away and leaving his coffee on the counter.

"You'll be back tomorrow, won't you?" I groaned.

"Of course. You can't get rid of me that easily"

"I'm not gonna forgive you"

"Oh you will. Maybe not tomorrow or the day after that but eventually, like maybe in a couple years you'll be so tired of me coming around you'll HAVE to forgive me" He chuckled.

I smiled at that one.

"Was that a smile?" He gasped, grinning.

"I had a slight brain aneurism and forgot for a second how much of an asshole you are!" I replied, rolling my eyes.

"Whatever you sayyy" He laughed, walking out the door.

I smiled to myself, staring down at the counter.

"Stop it! Snap out of it, he's an asshole" I thought to myself.

When I got back to the apartment Riley and Missy were waiting for me.

"How was work?" Riley asked, hugging me.

"Fine... Lucas showed up again"

"Again? That's every day this week!" she exclaimed.

"I know, it's insane"

"He must really want you to forgive him"

"Ya, but it's not going to work"

"Don't you think... maybe you could cut him a LITTLE slack? I mean, if he's trying this hard" Riley asked, looking at me with her soft brown eyes.

"Riley are you serious?"

"It was just a suggestion..." She shrugged.

"Whatever. He deserves it"

"Well you better be civil tonight!"

"Tonight?"

"The Halloween party, Maya! Did you seriously forget?" She laughed, pushing my shoulder.

"Shit I forgot" I sighed.

Riley and her damn themed parties.

"I bought the accessories for our costumes!" She squealed, clapping her hands.

"Okayyy, show me the damage" I groaned, following Riley to her room.
