Falling for You

Part 10

Damn it. He was standing behind me. I'm totally going to get fired. I'm am going to be in big trouble. I was literally shaking. Holly was right in front of me too. She didn't turn around. She was holding my hand but I could tell she was nervous too. Please stay strong Holly, at least for my sake.

"Look at me when I speak to you", Nathan said from behind. I turned around and looked right at his face and you could see that he was beyond angry. His eyes showed danger and I was now scared. I don't think I've ever been scared like this ever before. Holly also turned around a minute after I did. Oh no. Why did you turn Holly? As soon as he saw her face, he lost it.

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE", he said yelling at her. Holly was shaking. She wasn't strong anymore. Her eyes showed so much fear. Oh, why did this have to happen? I was having such a good day. Nathan was looking at me dangerously and Holly looked like she would burst out crying any second. Just then, a door in front of us opened and out came Holly's lawyer. He looked at Holly and then looked at me. He went over to us.

"Holly, what happened?", the lawyer asked her. 

"It's nothing Josh. Is the meeting starting yet?", Holly said back to him.

"Yes, the meeting will start in five minutes. Are you still up for it?", he asked, concern in his voice. Holly looked at me, then at Nathan, who was standing behind me starring at her. She then said,"Yes, tell them I will be in shortly". Josh nodded and went back inside.

"Holly, please don't do this", I begged.

"I am sorry Blair, but I have too. I have to go get ready but thank you for accompanying me this far ", she said. She looked at me, then at Nathan, and left for the powder room. It was me and Nathan all alone in the hallway.

"Nathan, I can explain", I said.

"There is nothing to explain. I told you not bring her here ever again and you did. Also, coming up to this floor is a violation so you will be suspended of your duties on the 60th floor. You will no longer be an associate till further notice", he said. Shit. I always get myself in trouble like this. Well this is better than getting fired I guess.

"Okay, so where will I work", I asked.

"I don't know yet, but you will find out soon", he said. Suddenly, the conference room door opened. It was Harvey. He came out and saw my face.

"Blair, what the hell are doing up here? You are not allowed up here", he said and then saw Nathan standing behind me.

"Nathan, why is she up here? I thought we deci-". Nathan cut him short.

"I've already informed her of her punishment. Don't worry, she won't be coming up here anymore", Nathan said and then went into the conference room. Harvey watched him leave and then looked back at me.

"Blair, tell me honestly, why were you up here?", he asked.

"I don't understand why I am not allowed up here but other employees are. Nathan already told me my punishment so don't worry about explaining it to me furthermore. Well, I'll be down in the lobby until I am assigned anything to do", I said. I start to leave when someone pulls my arm back. I look back and see Harvey hanging onto my arm.

"Harvey, please let go", I say as I try to pry his hand away from my arm.

"Not until you answer my question".

"I was up here because I was helping out a friend. I didn't even know where I was going ok. She dragged me up here and wanted me to support her and I did. Happy?", I said. He gave me a I don't believe you look and furrowed his brows. At this point, I didn't care what he believed. I left him there and ran off to the elevator. I pressed the button to the lobby.
