Falling for You

Part 3

I followed him and turns out all the associates and board members work on the top three floors. We got in the elevator. He pressed the 60th floor(second highest floor). The ride up was silent and when I looked at him, he looked back at me. His brown eyes kept starring at me and I, blushing, turned the other way to avoid him. He noticed I was blushing and out of nowhere, he pushed the stop button on the elevator. I looked at him with shock and confusion but he just got angry and pushed me against the wall again.

"What are you doing Nathan. Get off of me", I said trying to free myself from him.

"Blair, I want you to understand something. I background check everyone who works for this company. Holly didn't have her personal information in there so she got thrown out. You didn't have yours but seems to me Harvey likes you. But I don't. I know your hiding something and when I get to the bottom of it, you'll be thrown out just like her. So don't bother trying to hard", he said and then let me go. He pressed on the button and we continued up. What the heck was that? I'm not hiding anything. The elevator doors opened and he walked out. I was still a little unsure whether to follow him anymore. He doesn't want me working here so why doesn't he just ask me to leave. "Hurry up Blair, I can't babysit you all day", he said in an annoyed tone. "Well your the one who wanted to show me my office", I retorted back. "Well it was either that or throwing you out", he said. I rolled my eyes and walked out of the elevator. He kept walking and I followed. As I followed, a lot of people starred at me, especially the men. Almost everyone who worked here was beautiful. I heard a lot of whispers and laughing from some of them. I decided to walk faster and catch up to Nathan. We finally got to my office. The view was incredible and I loved it. It had a sofa and a big desk. I actually think I'm gonna enjoy working here. "Well, this is your office. Mine and Harvey's are upstairs. Just call if you need us. Do not go upstairs though. You are not allowed by any circumstance do you understand me", he said in a serious tone. Hmmm, what was upstairs. "And do not engage in any inappropriate activity with any one on this floor. Do you understand me", he said now looking at me. "Yes, I understand. Thank you for leading me to my office. I'll call if I need anything", I said. He nodded and left the room. Finally, I was done. I got my job and this amazing office.

The whole day, I spent the day in the office. I organized files, met with a few people, and started my research on a new project. I ordered in lunch and then did a little more work on the project. By the time I was done, it was 11:00. God, I didn't realize how long I was working. I finally went out and saw that all the lights were turned off and everyone was gone. I decided to go home so I started packing up my things. I was getting something from my desk when two people barged in.

"Oh Dan, I'm so glad we are doing this. Being with you is so much fun", said a girl kissing a guy named Dan. Where did I hear that name before. "Yes, I love being with you too", said Dan kissing her over and over again. I guess they didn't notice me. "Um, do you mind", I said blurting out. They both looked up and noticed I was standing there. I could tell the girl was shocked but Dan was furious. "What the hell are you doing in here? You know no one is allowed in here. Get the hell out", said Dan raging with fury. "Sorry but this is my office now", I said a little bit of anger in my voice. "No this isn't from now on. Get out and get a cubicle down there", he said as he pointed at a hallway of rows of cubicles. "But this is my office. You have no right to move me out there", I said. "Well I do so get out and get a cubicle before I call the police and fire you", he said now shouting. I guess I didn't have a choice. I got all my things, rolled my eyes to him and picked my cubicle at the end of the hallway near the elevator. I set up all my things and left. So much for a good day.
