Part 24

"Blah, blah...blah, blah, blah", was all I heard as I sat in the corner of Dan's limo, heading to work. Nathan and Dan sat across from me, talking about random shit I didn't give a fuck about. It was 10:00 am. I was late. And it felt uncomfortable being in a car with Dan and Nathan. After I kissed Dan this morning, I didn't even know what to think. And what about this stupid arranged marriage. One way or another, my father was going to make me marry him. I could get out of it, but do I really want to lose all that I have? Why is my life so freaking complicated?

"Blair, Blair", I heard. I snapped out of my thoughts and looked in the direction of the voice. It was Dan. I opened and closed my eyes a few times and said, "What do you want?". He then gave me a confused look and then chuckled. 

"Umm, we are here", he said handing me his hand. I then looked around and saw that Nathan was no longer here and the building was right in front of me. Ugh, time to work. I refused his hand and got out of the limo, shoving him with my shoulder. "I don't understand why you hate me so much", he said whispering to himself, but I heard him. Hmm, why do I hate him? 

"BLAIR, oh my god it's been so long", someone said running up and hugging me. What the hell? It was a girl, but I couldn't see her face. She was hugging me really tight and her face wasn't facing me. "I thought I would never see you again". Who the hell is this girl?

"Hi, um who are you?", I asked, no longer patient. She finally let go of me and came to face me. It was my friend from college, Jenny Longs. We went to Cambridge together in England. My face lit up and I suddenly found myself hugging her back.

"Jenny, I thought I would never see you again too" I said then let her go and took in her appearance. She was hot. She grew a little more, but was still a few inches shorter than me. And she changed her hair color to an auburn color. Wow, she looked gorgeous. "What are you doing here? How did you find me?"

"Well, thats a long story. I'll explain it to you later. Right now, lets go over to that cool cafe across the street and catch up", she said bouncing up and down.

"Sorry, but my wife has to work", someone said grabbing my shoulders from behind. It was Dan. Why was he still out here?

"Dang, Blair, you got married and didn't even tell me. And you also work with him? I am so happy for you", she said smiling from ear to ear.

"I am not marr-"

"She soon will be married to me. Anyway, I suggest you catch up later cause I have a meeting in like ten minutes", Dan said looking at his watch.

"Then go to your meeting", I said.

"I am soon going to be your husband. I can't just let you roam around without my supervision", he said in a serious tone.

"Omg, you guys are so freakin cute. I really want to catch up Blair but if your busy, we can do it later. Here's my number", she took my arm and wrote her number. "Hope I catch you later". She then left toward the direction of the coffee shop. I stood there and just watched her leave. Then Dan had to snap me out of my thoughts. 

"Blair, lets go. I have to get ready for my meeting", Dan said tugging at my arm.

"Just go without me. I know how to get to my office".

"No, I will escort you".

"No, you won't. And stop saying I am your wife. I haven't decided what I am going to do", I said, walking inside the lobby. I could hear his footsteps behind me.

"But I know you are going to choose marrying me. And besides, if you refuse, I'll just find another way to get you to be mine", he said, walking with me to the elevator.
