Chapter 27.

"Is everything ready?" I ask

"Yeah. We just have to wait-nevermind there he is."

We watch as Chase approaches Jess. Jess freezes up at the sight of him and I could tell she was getting nervous. We move a bit closer to them to hear what they were saying.

"Hey Jess..." Chase says

"What are you doing here?" Jess asks

"I wanted to talk to you"

"Chase can we please not talk about that. It was a drunken one night stand." Jess pleads

"No. No. It's not about that." Chase says

"Then what."

"Well...."

This was the twins' cue to step out from beind the bleachers. Jackson and Harrison started playing the guitars to the tune of I'm yours by Jason Mraz. Chase started singing the lyrics and Jess stood frozen in her place.

At this point Chase stopped singing and the twins took over. Chase took Jess' hand and started twirling her around. They both laughed as they danced to the song.

The two had stopped dancing and our now just standing in each others arms. Chase continued singing to her.

As the song ended I came out of the bleachers with a huge sign in my hands. The sign simply said PLEASE GO ON A DATE. Jess looked at me with wide eyes and looked back at Chase who was holding a smaller sign that said With Me.

Jess gasped and covered her mouth. Chase was growing anxious with every millisecond that passed by. Jess then tackled Chase into a big hug, catching him off by surprise. They end up laying on the floor.

"OF COURSE YOU IDIOT" She yells

Chase looked at her with wide eyes then hugged her back tightly. The twins and I cheered and released the balloons in the air. Jess looked up happily while Chase looked at her happily.

Jess ran over to me and gave me a huge hug while the twins congratulated Chase.

"So this is why you were so stand off-ish and anxious the whole day." Jess says

"Yup. It's also the reason I've been texting in class." I laugh

"You risked getting caught." She said

"Anything for my two best friends." I winked at her

She laughed and gave me another hug.The boys walk over to us and Chase puts his arm on Jess' shoulder.

"Now let's go eat. I'm starving." Harrison says. After he said that, his stomach growled loudly. We all laughed and headed to the cafeteria.
