You can choose to be kind to people who haven't wronged you, that is okay. But you cannot, absolutely cannot go around living your life treating others as any less than you are. We are all only one person who can choose their life's outcomes and leaves the lives of others alone, if that's what you want. Your decision might not affect me if you live in, say, a different country, but it will if you do it to me personally.
Remember that being rude to people by default is not a personality trait to admire. Quite the opposite, actually.
Your basic responsibility is to leave some kind of footprint on somebody's life while you are here. Do you really want to make that footprint a bad one? I don't.
Kindness, if only given by you, can show just how much patience you have.
Remember, try to be kind to all.
