This warmed my heart and I had to share. In the video, a little boy named Emanuele is distraught about his father who died recently, and asks Pope Francis if his father is going to heaven. He says his father baptized him and his brother in the Catholic faith, but did not himself believe in God. Emanuele is worried his father is in hell.
Pope Francis responds that God would not want someone like Emanuele's father far away from Him and that it takes more strength to baptize your child in a faith you don't believe in than one that you do.
This truly made me smile, and it was a beautiful way to comfort the little boy. I hope he finds his peace. ❤️ Thoughts?
