"Adalie, " I say as I push open the door to the dance room.
"How the heck did you manage to get that little ball of paper
Into my violin case?"
She stops spinning long enough to answer me.
"Easy.
You really shouldn't leave your case unlocked.
Someone could steal it!"
I raise my eyebrows.
"Please don't steal my violin Li.
My mom will kill me."
She grins.
"Li?" She questions.
I blush.
"You don't like nicknames?" I say.
She gives me a quick kiss on the cheek.
"You're cute when you're embarrassed," she responds.
I answer that by pressing my lips against hers, catching her by surprise.
I love her rose petal lips
And honey kissed skin.
My heart pounds in my chest as
She pushes harder against my lips
And I stumble backwards
But then I respond with the same pressure.
There's nothing stopping us this time
No phone buzzing
Nothing.
Off in the small corner of rational thinking, I know
That I don't have to go for an hour
I pull her closer and allow myself to disappear in her arms.
