Happy Birthday {special-shot} (Young Genji x Amber)

A/N: Okay my lovely companions, today is a very special day for me! Today is my birthday, so I'll probably update sometime next week since I'll be taking a break for a while. Anyway, here's my special-shot!

One little wish... was what made everything possible for me. I remember it clearly, the sky was getting dark with night approaching soon. I tighten my grip on the coat I was wearing, trying to keep warm from the harsh cold. Every time I breathed, a little puff white would apart. "Damnit... why didn't I think about coming home earlier? I should told them to have the party around 2 instead." I mumbled as snow started to fall around me. I sighed, looking up at the sky smiling. "Oh... snow? It's not that common here in Tennessee... it's always raining or being a drought... this is a rare change. How lucky." I say to myself before suddenly stopping in my tracks. A little ways from me stood a man I had never seen before, the close he was wearing wasn't meant for cold weather, yet he looked fine. Being curious, I decided to talk to him. "Excuse me sir, are you alright? You know it's about 20 degrees out here... are you not cold?" I asked, but he only smiled at me for a moment. A chuckle came from him before he spoke. "I am quite fine, the weather has no affect on me... but might I ask you, why are you out here at such an hour? Aren't your parnets going to worry?" "I'm 16 years old, I'm pretty sure that they wouldn't worry about me... besides, like they would even care about me anyway..." "And why would you say that?" The man asked as he came a little closer to me, a smile still bright on his face. I looked away from him, thinking of what to say. "Because my father hates me and thinks of me as a disgrace to my family... my mother just sits on her phone or kindle playing games, not caring if anything happened to me... and my older brother, he's the worst, he thinks that our parnets love me more than him. That causes him to insult me and beat me up..." I tell the man as I tear went down my cheek. I felt warm hand on my right shoulder and another hand wipe away the tear. "Do not cry... your family does love you, even if they don't show it." "How would you know?" "Well... you could say that my life was similar to yours. My mother and father were always busy, never having time to see me or my older brother. My brother was taught how to run the family business, I was the one that did what ever. I would party or being hanging out with friends while brother was stuck growing up more then me..." the man sighed as he looked into my eyes. "When I became older, I moved away from my family, seeing that I wasn't needed... but that was a lie. I missed them so much and yet when I went back, they didn't see me as one of them. It pained me seeing that my own family turned there backs on me, yet I deserved it since I left without a trace... What ever you do, no matter what they think or you think... don't leave. Family is more important then anything, the words they say may hurt, but they might be said for a reason." He said while patting my back. "But how come you didn't try to get back into your family? You could've kept trying." "I know, but it was already to la-." He stopped for a moment and looked at the sky, the stars and moon were out, shining brighter then normal. "Ah, I must go... my time draws near..." "Wait why must you go? Can I at least know your name? Will we meet again?" I asked, wanting to know his name before he goes. He chuckled before handing me a little box, kissing my forehead. "Due not worry... we'll meet again one day, but for now... Happy Birthday Amber." He said before he vanished in a blink of an eye. I looked around in confusion, trying to find him as I blushed from his sudden kiss. "Wh- How? Where did he go? Why did he give... how did me know today was my birthday and my name!?!" I panicked as I looked at the gift. It was in a black and white wrapping with a little red bow on top. 'What... he even got my favorite colors... who was h-' My thoughts stopped as I looked at the little paper attached to it. 'To Amber... From Genji? I never heard of him before... yet it sounds formilar.' I decided to waste no time and rushed home. Seeing that everyone was out, I wasn't surprised. Sighing quietly, I set the box down before opening it. It was a beautiful necklace that was heartshaped with a ruby in it. I gasp in shock, holding the necklace closer. 'I never had a gift like this before... it's so beautiful...' I looked inside the box to find a note at the bottom and pulled it out. 'あなたはまだ愛されています...アンバーを忘れることはありません...あなたは誰にとっても特別な存在なので...そして私には特別。' I looked at it in confusion. "What the hell? I can't read this... maybe it I use Google translation it could help me..." I say softly. The place around me grew quiet and cold as I finally saw what the note said. "You are still beloved ... never forget Amber ... because you are special to everyone ... and so special to me." My breath hitched for a moment as I looked between the note and the necklace. "I'm... special to him?" I close my eyes as a tear went down my face. 'I am loved...'
