🐥 ---------------------------🐥

By the time the sun swept in through my window like always and I funneled myself under my covers to escape the wretched sunshine. Ugh, what time is it? I groaned, my knees against my chest as I slept crouched under the covers with my face in the pillow. Man, I hate waking up and damn have I been waking up a lot. Even on Sundays! Man, that's my sleeping-in day.

Licking my lips, I listened out to the sound of my room door, creaking open quietly as long strides of footsteps padded against my carpet as someone stepped into my bat cave. Well, duck cave in this case, but I don't think ducks hang upside down and sleep during the day or look like small flying mice for that matter.

It must definitely be Xavier since the cactus has a knack for being in my room creepily while I sleep. A stupid grin washed over my face at the thought of Xavier staring at me sleep, it was cute...I mean creepy! But I knew he was just planning my hell every time he enters my room.

"Morning Xavier," I called out to him sarcastically, feeling a presence close to my bed. Might as well greet him since he always happens to be in my room when I wake up. No harm was done. But not today, instead, silence drowned the entire room before a small snickered escaped the intruder into my sleeping cave. Hold up... Since when does Xavier ever make noises of amusement?

Throwing my covers I jolted up, my eyes widened at the figure standing by my bed who was not even close to my expectations. "Gabe?!"

"Morning Munchkin," He winked, a mischievous smirk plastered across his face, "Sorry, you were probably expecting your boyfriend but he's busy,"

I glowered at him, choosing to ignore the boyfriend comment knowing Xavier will strip him of his skin limb by limb and shoot me for just being there if he ever found out about it. "What're you doing here?"

"Well, thanks so the new bounty on your head, I have been given the privilege of teaching you some self-defence and chaperoning you for the rest of the day," He exaggerated, placing a hand on his chest in fake enthusiasm.

"Aww," I gave him a false look for being touched before shaking my head with a glare, "Why wasn't Natasha assigned to this?"

"Ouch," He grinned leaning casually against my bedside table. The spot Xavier had his perfect butt on a few days ago. "Mind you I'm a great self-defence teacher, and a perfect bodyguard," He boasted about himself before giving me a million dollar smirk. It wasn't a Xavier smirk but still a charming look.

"I'd still prefer Natasha," I stuck my nose in the air, giving him a sly expression.

"Well too bad, Natasha, Nathan and Jason have their own jobs to do while Xavier has a meeting," He shrugged, fiddling with my bedside lamp distractedly.

"Xavier has meetings? I didn't know gang leaders had meetings,"

"He's not just a gang leader you know, he also works in the business field," Great, now the prick is a multi-billionaire too. God this is too much for me to handle.
