This is a Halloween special ^^

I was walking through the forest, it was 11pm. Every sound made me want to run as far as possible.  But my feet were hurting, I'd already ran so much.

Every minute I checked my surroundings. I was alone, but I didn't feel that way. Something was watching me, something out of this world.

I just kept on walking, not once thinking about stopping, not once scared to get lost. Because honestly, I already was.

I'd always known I was different. I saw things nobody else could. I had lots of friends when I was little, unfortunately whenever I wanted to introduce them to my family, they always said the same thing.

They would stare at me weirdly and tell me " there was nobody there "
Of course,  my parents thought I was just making up imaginary friends, they didn't think much of it.

When I was the age of 14, I started realising that these friends of mine were way too white to be human. When they smiled at me, they revealed their pointy teeth.

After doing some research, I came to the conclusion, my friends weren't human beings indeed, they were vampires.

No one had ever believed me when I told them about what I saw.
Was I going mad?

When I was 18, I went to live on my own, in a cottage far away from town. A peaceful home it was. I'd hoped the vampires wouldn't be able to find me anymore.

After all those years, I finally realised what they were after. My blood. I don't know why, but my blood was utterly attractive to them.

I was different somehow, and they were all waiting for the right time to attack me, when I was all grown up. That's when they'd strike.

I had been waiting for an attack. And that happened today.
I was walking my daily walk, breathing in some fresh air, as I saw a vague silhouette in the distance. I knew without a doubt, it was one of them. I ran away immediately, thinking I could win when it came to speed, hah, I'd never been so wrong.

I ran deeper into the forest, the darkness of the night surrounding me. Winter was coming and days were getting shorter.

The silhouette was still behind me. It seemed like he didn't even have to run. He just disappeared suddenly and then reappeared nearer to me. Meaning he wasn't getting tired, but I was.
He kept on following me, waiting until I was totally worn out. Then he would attack.
Yes, it was a HE. From the first moment I saw the silhouette I knew it was a boy. His muscular build made him look very attractive, wait, what am I saying. Well honestly, there was no escaping it, my enemy was incredibly handsome.
I figured he wasn't much older than me, which made me sad. 'Damn boy, why you gotta be thirsty for my blood, we could've been friends' I muttered while panting.

I kept on speed walking, I couldn't run any more. But I begged my legs to not give up on me.
The boy chuckled behind me, hearing his voice for the first time sent a shiver down my spine.
His voice was surprisingly... pleasurable to hear.
I felt bad for thinking that but I couldn't control my hormones*sigh*.

Hearing his voice suddenly took away the fear I was feeling. He was just a boy ( who wanted my blood ) but anyway, I didn't feel scared of him anymore.

So, I stood still, not wanting to torture my body anymore. I turned around to where the voice had come from, but there was no sign of him.
"Show yourself, boy" I said, crossing my arms, showing him I wasn't scared.

Again, a chuckle was heard. "You're finding me quite funny aren't you?"

For a moment it was completely quiet, until he finally appeared, RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. Suddenly I was facing a chest. There was barely 10 cm between my face and his chest. I had to look up to see his face. Being 1.60 wasn't quite an advantage at that moment. I guessed he surpassed the 1.80 so his height intimidated me a bit.
