17. Jungkookie : high school

I was having lunch at school and I sat all by myself. As always. I get bullied a lot, because I'm poor and I can't afford cool clothes. Most of the time I wear black ripped jeans with a plain white shirt. After I ate my lunch I went to my locker. I felt people staring at me but decided to not look at them.

As I stood by my locker I heard giggles coming closer to me. I looked in the direction they came from and saw a group of popular girls from my class with a few guys. The girls stood next to me and their 'leader' was the first one to speak up. "It smells really bad here doesn't it. It smells like someone hasn't had a bath in a month. Or can't you afford the water either?" She said and giggled right after. I sighed and started walking away. "You're not saying anything!?" The leader whose name was Sarah said a bit too loud.
"Y/n!" She yelled. I turned around. "What" she walked towards me and pulled my hair "I'm not done with you yet" she let go of my hair and walked away. "Aish" I whispered and walked to class.
*IN CLASS*
"Okay class today I will give you mew partners for a project. Just go and sit next to your partner until the project ends" out teacher said. Great another project :(. I hated projects since I would have to work with a classmate and since nobody really liked me it was very no fun. "I will on bounce your partners now..

Y/n and Jung kook. ...
..."

My eyes widened, out of everyone I had to be coupled with Sarahs boyfriend. I looked around our class and saw she was already giving me death glares. I buried my head in my hands and without me noticing it Jung kook got off his seat and walked towards me. "Hello" he said and sat next to me. "Hi" I said softly. I felt very shy towards him because I never really talked to him but I just knew him as 'Sarahs Boyfriend'

"You don't have to be shy I don't bite" Jungkook said. "You never know" I answered and it made him laugh and for the first time in a while I smiled.

School ended soon enough and I started walking home. "Y/n! Hold up" someone yelled. I turned around and saw Jungkook running towards me. "I'll walk you home" he said smiling.
"I don't think that is a good idea-" before I could say more he interrupted me. "It's just-, I don't think anyone gave you a proper chance to get close to you" he started. "What are you talking about?"
"Well, people bully and dislike you just for the fact that you may not be very wealthy. But know that we have to do that project together it's a good chance for me to get to know you" Jungkook said smiling.
I looked at him as if he came from another planet. "I don't think anybody ever wanted to get to know me better" I said. "Well then I'm the first"
There was only one thing on my mind 'Sarah is going to hate me even more '

"Shouldn't you go home?" I asked him when I noticed that I was close to my house and Jungkook was still walking next to me. "I said I would walk you home so that's what I'm doing"
When I got home he waved at me and said "see you tomorrow"
"Yeah" I answered and smiled at him.

THE NEXT DAY
I sat in class waiting for the teacher and other classmates to come. I'm always a bit early, I like it.
When the bell rang people started to walk into the class. Jungkook walked in together with Sarah and as soon as he saw me he waved. Since Sarah was with him I decided not to risk anything and I ignored him.

Later that day we had to work on our project again and Jungkook came to sit next to me. I liked him as a friend because he really is nice but it's hard to be friends with your enemy's boyfriend. About Sarah, she gave me death glares every now and then.

When school was over I walked towards my locker and got a text message from Jungkook. I gave him my number since we have to work together.
'Come meet me at the school's secret garden, I need to talk to you about something.'
I didn't know what it was he wanted to talk about but I decided to just go.

After a few minutes I arrived at the secret garden, I looked around but there was no sign of Jungkook.
"Do you think it's fun to mess around with my boyfriend?!" I heard a voice behind me. My eyes widened and I immediately recognised that voice. Sarah.
"Flirting around with my boyfriend... do you think he likes you?! He's just being nice because of that project. He wouldn't even look at you if you weren't his partner"
I finally turned around and faced Sarah but she wasn't alone, she brought all her bitches.
She looked really pissed off.
Slowly they walked closer to me and I walked back but soon I bumped into the wall behind me.
They were still walking closer and I got scared.
Sarah got really close to me and stared into my eyes and before I knew it she grabbed my throat. I gasped for air and she threw me on the ground.
"You disgust me" Sarah said and gave me a kick in the guts. Her friends joined in with the kicking and I started to cough and scream for help.
"STOP THAT" someone yelled. The girls stopped kicking and looked at the person who told them to stop.
"J..jungkook" I heard Sarah say. "Why are you here" she said.
"Why do you think I'm here!?, definitely not for you! It's over Sarah how could you do this to someone!" Jungkook yelled.
In the mean time I started to cough up blood. Everyone looked at me and I heard one of the girls whisper "shit"
Jungkook came towards me and looked at what the girls had done to me. And when Sarah had the chance she ran away followed by her bitches.
"Do you think you can get UP? " Jungkook asked. I nodded but when I wanted to stand up I felt like I walould pass out so I collapsed on the ground again. Jungkook picked me up and that was the last thing I remember before everything went black.

I woke up in a different house. In a different bed. I sat up straight and looked around. There were bandages around my waist. Jungkook suddenly walked into the room and smiled at me. "Well well looks like you're awake" "did you do this?" I asked pointing at the bandage. He nodded.
"Thank you" I said while smiling at him. "You're really pretty when you smile" he said and walked up to me. "I'm glad you're okay" after he said that he kissed my forehead. "I think I like you" he said.
All I could do was smile and that was the beginning of a beautiful friendship that after a few months turned into a relationship <3
