8.Jungkookie: I can treat you better

I was walking across the streets on my own. I was really sad because yesterday my boyfriend oh wait EX boyfriend broke up with me for no reason. I miss him a lot but I'm trying to forget him.

I walked into a coffee shop and ordered a coffee. When my order was ready I sat down at a table in the back of the coffee shop. After a while I felt someone's hand on my shoulder. My eyes widened because I was totally lost in my thoughts the sudden touch scared me.
I quickly turned around and saw my best friend. "Jungkookie oml you scared me" i said. He gave me his killer smile "haha sorry I didn't mean to" he answered.
Yes indeed Jungkook from bts is my best friend. We go to the same school and were best friends since we were 5. He is pretty handsome but because he is my bestfriend, I don't have a crush on him. He always brightened my mood but today not even jungkook could cheer me up.

He sat down next to me and started talking. Everytime he said something funny I would give him a small smile, but those didn't last more than a few seconds.

After a while Jungkook notices something was off. "Hey is something wrong? Normally you are so bright and today your, like.. Depressed or something." He said. I looked down at the ground. If I would tell him right now I felt like i was going to cry and I didn't want to. "You can tell me" he continued. "It's nothing" I answered. "Y/N please, I've know you for 13 years i can tell when something's wrong and I can also tell when you're lying to me. And I don't want you to lie to me okay?" He said more serious than before. "Alright then, Yesterday Taehyung broke up with me. And I'm trying to get over him as fast as I can, but it is more difficult than expected."
"Oh I'm sorry." He answered. I swear I heard a little bit of anger in his voice. "It's okay you can't do anything about it."

Suddenly Jungkook grabbed my hand and held it in his. "I don't understand why he would break up with you. Honestly you're pretty, funny and a good cook!" He said. I started blush. "You think I'm pretty?" I asked. He complimented me often, like that I looked nice or that my outfit was cool, but he never called me pretty before. He nodded " you know y/n. I think you deserve someone who is 100000000 times better than Taehyung." He put his arm around my shoulder and I got butterflies (butterfly wohoo i love that song) in my stomach.
"Like who?" I asked him. "Like... Me." He answered quickly and kissed my forehead. I was speechless and looked at him surprised. "I've been in love with you for about 7 years now." He said. I smiled and kissed him without hestitating. "Sometimes love is closer to you than you actually think." He said when we broke apart. I genuinely laughed this time.
And that was the start of a beautiful relationship.
