"Dy? How are you?" I asked as Dy phoned me the next day. Four more days before he gets home, I am missing him badly.

"Okay naman ako anak. Itong Tita Jam mo kung anu-anong pinapagawa sa amin ng mga Tita't Tito mo. Imagine yesterday, she took us out banana boating. Anak, mahina na ang mga buto ko." We both laughed as he retell the story. Just imagine them, almost hitting the senior age, riding a banana boat. I'm sure the youngsters present at the scene were all gaping at them weirdly.

"Sabi pa niya, okay lang daw na atakehin ako sa puso. She has her equipment ready and loaded naman daw for an ambulatory surgery. Crazy Cardiosurgeon she is."

Mas lalo akong natawa dahil sa kakulitan ni Tita Jam. She is indeed one heck of undying energy. Normally, with the activities daddy says he's involved, I'll be running to get him and locked him inside the house. Pero alam ko namang hindi pababayaan nila Tita at Tito si Daddy kaya nakakahinga ako ng maluwang.

"Kuya Riq! Halika na! Try mong mag-water gliding!" I heard Tita Jam's banshee voice on the background. Dy groaned, sounding as if he wanted to hide from his sister's eyes.

I giggled imagining daddy's face, "Sige na Love. I have to go before your Tita goes berserk. I love you anak." I whispered I love you back before I heard him dropping the call.

Looks like they are having fun there. It would be such a pain to ruin the fun if I ever break the things that's happening to daddy. I just let out an audible breath before I sat on one of the bar tools. Tinukod ko ang ulo ko sa palad ko saka tumitig sa kawalan. What's happening to me? I've never been this confused my whole life. I used to be so certain and definite about things. But now, hindi ko na alam.

May bulaklak nanaman akong dinatnan nang nakarating ako sa opisina. Hindi ko na kailangang tignan pa kung kanino galing.

Napabuntong-hininga ako saka ako napaupo. Everything is just so wrong. I really tried working things out with him. Pero hindi na siya, hindi na siya ang nilalaman ng puso ko. But I can't have Chance. Hindi kami pwedeng dalawa, he's already taken and to make things worse, I was the reason why they are together.

Jess went inside my office a few minutes later, disturbing my depressing morning thoughts. "Miss Amy, ipinadala na po ni Mr. Calderazzo ang testimonial niya. Ibibigay ko na po ba sa IT para mailagay na sa website?"

I stopped and looked at the paper she was holding. She already printed them out. "Pabasa muna ako." Tugon ko, tinanguan niya ako bago siya lumabas.

"I have given up the idea of love a long time ago. I just don't get how a simple four letter word can destroy one human being. It can be written in a simple chemical formula but then again it can be as complex as a mathematical equation.
