Ice: Lunch Date

A/n: So before my iPad deleted everything, this was actually a deleted scene!  Because the date chapter WAS SO FRICKIN LONG so i tried to shorten it by taking out a scene which was this scene! 😄 But now I gotta write it all over again 😂 but I'll still count it as a DELETED SCENE! 😃

It was lunch and Zane took you to an Italian restaurant. It wasn't too fancy, it wasn't too casual, it was just right! The waitress showed you two to a table and gave you both menus. "You two can take a seat and I'll be right back!" she said as she walked away.

Zane was being a gentleman and helped take your coat off and put it on the back of your chair, then pulling it out for you to sit down. "Thank you." you said as you sat down.

Zane smiled at you and took a seat himself. "Nice choice for lunch by the way. Its nice here." you say with a smile as you unfold your menu. "Well that is a relief to hear." he says and you chuckle.

The menu had so many food choices! And they all looked so good. Just then the waitress came back, ready with a note pad. "Would you two like anything to drink?" she asked.

As Zane was telling her that he wanted water, you noticed she had an Italian accent, so you decided to put your italian skills to use! "And what about you?" she asked you ready to write it down.

"Prendo un San Pellegrino Aranciata." You said in Italian, which made both the waitress and Zane shocked. "Sei l'italiano anche tu?" She asked you and you chuckled and shook your head no.

"No, ho appena visitato in gita scolastica anni fa e ho imparato a parlarlo!" "Bene il tuo italiano è buono!" "Grazie!" "So! I will be back with your drinks, and give you two some time to think about our menu!" She said with a grin and left.

"I didn't know you spoke Italian!" Zane said in surprise and you chuckled. "Yup and forty five others!" "Incredible! I only have twenty five in my database. How did you learn Italian?" "In high school I went on their spring break trips to italy and I learned the culture and language while I was there." you explained.

"How was the trip?" he asked getting more and more interested. "So much fun! Did you know that in Venice, Italy, Gondolas are painted black because of law!" "Interesting."

After you two picked what you both wanted to eat, the waitress came back to take your orders, which for you, you told her what you wanted in Italian again.

While waiting for the food, you both talked and talked about different things that interested you both, finding a lot in common with each other. When the food came, the first couple bites were delicious!

Italian food was just another one of your favorite cuisines. While eating you couldn't help but notice how, 'humanlike,' Zane was eating his pasta. "Zane, I'm just curious but," you started and he wiped his lips with the napkin. "Yes?" he looks at you.

You gave a slight smile as he twirled the pasta with his fork. "If you're a droid...and you have no digestive system...how are you eating?" you ask him. Zane's eyes widen and froze while the fork was still in his mouth.

You gave a slight laugh, "It's alright Zane! Haha enjoy the feeling. Don't worry about it." he swallows the food and sighs in relief. A few more minutes of eating and talking and you both noticed that it started to snow.

"That's odd." Zane said looking out the window next to you both. "The snow is odd?" you questioned confused. "A little, I mean, the forecast said nothing about snow in the weather, its just sudden." "Well, weather is unpredictable sometimes, it constantly changes. Maybe the temperatures outside went even lower." you guessed.

"Yes, it might have changed." Zane agreed. As you both began to wait for the dessert you two ordered after the food, you got pretty quiet. You actually ran out of things to say. You could feel like Zane noticed. "Are you not enjoying yourself Kirstin? You're rather quiet." Zane said.

You looked up, "Oh i'm having a wonderful time! Its just i'm not sure what else to say." you say shyly and looked back down. You immediately looked back up when you felt Zane's hand on top of yours on the table.

He smiled at you, "How about you tell me an interesting story you remember experiencing, and i will tell you about the time the ninja and I went in space." you blush as your eyes widen. "You went into space?!" you ask surprised and he smiles wider and nods. "But, your story first."

You ended up telling another great memory of you and your parents growing up. When you finished, the dessert came! And it was delicious! And then Zane told his story.

You were listening to every word since it fascinated you so much. He told you how the evil nindroids went into space to get the golden weapons on a comet, so they snuck on their ship to try to prevent them from succeeding. In the end, it was the ninja who almost didn't make it when the nindroids destroyed the ship.

The ninja made their own ship with the parts they had left, and the power from Zane's energy source and made it back to Ninjago. "Cool!! Oh, I wish I could go up there." you say dreamily. "I'm sure you will one day." Zane said but you gave him a small smile.

"Most likely not. But, the technology I'll help make for astronauts to use in space, will." you said, finishing yup your dessert. Eventually you both finished lunch and the bill was paid and you both exited the restaurant into the snow.

Since it snowed in the scenerio, song at the top is Let It Snow by Dean Martin (and yes ik there's many different singers who did great covers for their christmas albums, but yall gotta appreciate the classics ;))
