"Muggles bomb America." Fred read out loud to Emma as she munched on some candy in the joke shop after hours.
"Wow it's really getting bad."
"Yeah it is." The two fell into a comfortable silence.
Emma and Fred made up but the connection wasn't there anymore which silently killed Emma but she would never tell.
For Fred he was happy he got his best friend back. Still guilty for being a jackass and leading her on when they were dead. He's moving on just like Emma said she had. Or so he thought.
"So I have a date tomorrow night." Fred said. Causing Emma to look at him.
"That's fantastic." She faked a smile. "With who?"
"This beaubaxons chick. Met her while getting new quiditch gloves last week and yeah."
"Cool."
They fell into silence again.
"I'd love to stay but I gotta baby sit Teddy tonight. Bye Fred." And with that Emma apparated home with tears brimming in her eyes.

She collapsed on the ground sobbing. Startling Remus and Tonks.
"Darling what's wrong?" Tonks asked her adopted daughter.
"I try so hard and it doesn't do fucking shit!" The girl hiccuped and swore.
