Corbin POV

"Bad idea, huh? I'm thinking the complete opposite," I said staying into her beautiful brown eyes. "I think that fate has a wonderful sense of humor. Who would've thought I would run across my mate on a blind date," I chuckled.

"What is a mate? How do you know that I'M your mate," she replied. Besides your white. .. my soul mate can't be white, right? Were the words spoken in her mind. I threw my head back with laughter at her thoughts.  She stiffened within my grasp I looked down at her and she seemed to be upset from my outburst.

"Why are you laughing? I mean I KNOW what a mate IS!!" she almost shouted while shaking her head.  "Can I have some space please? I can't think with you this close to me," she gasped when she realized what she had admitted to. "I mean..." she started.

" Good I don't want you to think, I want you to feel, " I replied rubbing my hand across her cheek making her gasp from the sparks that she would always feel when I touch her because of the mate bond. "Do you have a problem with WHITE men, Tatiana?" I teased. With wide eyes she stepped back out of my grasp and I instantly felt lonely and wanted to pull her back to me.  I decided to give her space knowing that she wanted and needed answers.

"You didn't answer my question," she said softly looking directly into my eyes. "How do you know that I'm your mate?" she repeated after I gave her a confused look.

"You'll find out soon enough,"I told her attempting to pull her back to me.  She put her hands up and backed up some more.  "No! I think you should tell me now! Right now Corbin!" she insisted.  All I heard was the sound of my name on her sweet lips. I fought back the growl that almost escaped my mouth.

"You wouldn't understand Tatiana," I told her. Stepping towards her again. This time she allowed me to come closer.

"Okay..." she said with a pause. " I think we should call it a night I'm kind of tired. It's was nice meeting you tho Corbin. " she stated extended her hand for me to shake it. I looked at it as if it was a foreign object.

  "What about dinner?" I asked.

"I don't think that's a good idea," she replied.  "Your spooking me out here does that part come with finding your mate as well?" she asked. I cringed at the thought of not having her in around me.

"We finally find her don't let her leave!!" my wolf screamed pacing back and forth. "Tell her what she wants to know."

"No, you horny dog. She's not ready." I told him. He growled but didnt reply I knew he was upset with the thought of losing our mate, but so am I.

"No, it doesn't I just don't want to scare you away. When I tell you how I know I want you to be ready to accept it." I explained to her. Tatiana was staring pensively at the ground biting her bottom lip.

"The only way I'll go to dinner is if you promise to tell more DURING dinner. If you agree and than you still don't tell me I will get up from the table and leave, do you understand?" she scolded was again looking directly into my eyes.

"Is this the way you talk to your students Ms. Montgomery?" I asked her with a teasing smile.

"No, it's the way I'm talking to you Mr. Bradford. When I ask my students a simple question they usually answer it without a problem." she said with a smirk.

I leaned towards her so close I could kiss her and she let out a sigh. "My dear Tati the question maybe simple," I replied while grabbing her chin,  "but the answer baby is somewhat complicated. Let's go!"
