The afternoon was waning as the giant, who they discovered was named "Greta," began to move around and somewhat forgave Artifax for blowing her up. Artifax did his best to apologize and explain his actions. Throk mediated.

The three adventurers got a better look at Greta in the light of day after she began moving around.

"She says that she once worked for the Mad Queen, Connomae," Throk translated.

That name sounded familiar to Oriander, who was originally from the Feywild. "Ask her what she is doing here," she said.

There was a bit more back and forth between Greta and Throk in their common language of Giant, and the group discovered that after beheading, Greta had been banished by Queen Connomae. Her lover, she believes, still works in the service of the Queen.

"I told her that we are seeking out Shinaelestra so that Artifax can rescue Layla from Queen Connomae," Throk explained. "THAT is why she was going to free us. She wants us to take a message to her lover."

"Tell her, that it would be our honor to pass on a message to..." Artifax paused.

"Gargos," Throk answered. "She says that he is the most handsome giant in all the land."

"We would be most happy to pass on a message to Gargos, should we... um, 'encounter' him." Artifax said.

Oriander paused and looked at Artifax. "You said that your lady was taken by giants?"

"That's right."

"Queen Connomae," she asked again.

"Yes," Artifax exclaimed. "Why?"

"I didn't recognize her name before," Oriander continued. "This is no mere queen of giants. This is a Fomorian Fey queen. They are the most vile and most hideous of all giants in all the realms of men."

Artifax sighed as the giant began talking agin.

Throk translated. "She says that she can show us how to enter Shinaelestra, but that we must return to the waterfall at once."

The group set out for the Acacia grove near the waterfall where they had fallen asleep only the day before. This was the end of day 11, and their last in the east. With any luck, the moonwell within the fey city would take them to the western Isle of Oman where Layla was being held prisoner by the mad Queen Connomae.
