yugyeom really did like jinyoung, and he was glad that jinyoung liked him too... but the spark between him and bambam just couldn't disappear

yugyeom just shoved his phone in his back pocket before sprinting even faster and heading towards the park.

as he gets there he sees bambam on the exact same bench where they first saw one another after years. although yugyeom wanted to just honestly make out with him, he had doubts. he just broke up with his ex boyfriend, he nearly cheated, and overall he just didn't find himself good enough.

'what happened to the old me' he thought as he remembered the first time they chatted

'lord why did i say that' yugyeom face palmer himself before standing up straight

'confidence'

'bambam..."

"hi yug-" bambam was just sitting there and staring straight

"jinyoung and i broke up" yugyeom interrupted... no one said anything for a few seconds

"what, ho-"

"he told me to follow my real feelings and heart" yugyeom stated, he could see bambam look at the corner of his eye to where he was, but moved back to staring straight

"but are yo-"

"and to just tell them to the person i cared for the most" and with that bambam shut his mouth as they both just stared at one another

"bammie... i-i-"

"i remember yeommie.." bambam whispers, just staring forward not even looking at yugyeom

"i remember everything" he stands up and turns around

"looking through my old phone, old yearbooks, my account, dm... you wanted to forget about me..." he continues as he turns to face yugyeom, avoiding eye contact

"bambam, i-i was just mad... a-and worried and scare-" yugyeom was surprised, his words couldn't come out straight (well he ain't straight man)

"i know..."

"but i figured it all out- and i don't wanna forget you, i don't want you to leave, i don't want- i want to be with you" yugyeom whispers the last part and starts coming closer

"bammie, i realized how i feel towards you... it's way different from jinyoung hyung and he understood.... i know that at times i can be thirsty- well i used to be thirst for a lot of people- i don't really know why, but then i met you and i felt like we had something and i just wanted to figure out why i felt that way towards you when i 'didn't know you,' but then i realized that i did knew and... it makes me happy" yugyeom whispered, shifting bambam's face up so that he could be looking at him. but all that yugyeom could see in bambam's eyes were confusion, sadness- be couldn't find happiness

"this doesn't feel right... y-you just had a boyfriend- how did he really feel... i know jinyoung hyung and he's- i'm-" hw kept cutting himself off as he didn't know what to say

"i think... i really think..." he was lost in thought as he moved once again to sit down, followed by yugyeom who has done the same, waiting for his choice

"i think it's best if i leave... settle things- clear things in my life and start over.." bambam whispered. when there were no noises made, he stood up and was about to walk away when a hug from behind stopped him

"that's the stupidest idea y-you've e-ever had" yugyeom was crying. he didn't want him to leave. that was the point. he didn't care if he makes him mad, he didn't care if his feelings weren't like before- he just didn't want him to leave.

but as he kept crying, he felt two hands pry his hands off.
"it's for the best" bambam whispered before rubbing yugyeom's hands one last time and walking away, leaving yugyeom to sob all by himself on the park bench.
