My best friend thinks I get every guy

I have this friend who has had a lot of "things" with a lot of guys. She falls for them quickly and some turn out not to be interested or they are desperate or have heard that she plays with guys' hearts sometimes. Well recently she had a more serious thing with a guy who actually reciprocated her feelings.... For a while. She confessed to me that she really liked him and I was happy for her. I had no idea who this guy was. About a week later, I hear her and that guy are over, and she basically ignores me. I asked my friend what was going on and she said the guy decided he didn't like her and that he couldn't stop thinking about another girl, that he didn't want to lead my friend on. Turns out, the other girl is me. I've had multiple girls tell me this (truthful ones) and I realized he's always staring at me in home room and makes an effort to get closer. The other day at my locker (his is by mine) I was cleaning it out and I realized my stuff was in his way and I apologized and he said it was no big deal but kept looking at me like he liked me. My friend saw and got pissed! He's really nice but I don't think I like him like that, and I've never even talked to him before that or anything! My friend is really mad at me, and I don't know what to do. She said I always get the guys and they all think I'm hot or something like that. (This is so not true, I've never had a boyfriend and I was one of 7 girls who didn't get asked to homecoming last year.) She's a great friend other than this, and I don't want to lose this friendship. Please help! Signed, Confused and Innocent

Dear confused and innocent,

Firstly id talk to her about how it's not your fault that he is looking at you the way he does etc and then tell her your going to talk to him about and after you talk to him about it. Tell him you heard that he likes you and that you have seen him look at you in a different way than the usual look people give then tell him that you don't appreciate him staring or anything like that because he did date your best friend. So basically your telling him he doesn't have a chance with you because of girl code. You don't want to ruin you and your friends friendship and he should respect that and comply to your wishes of him stopping to like you etc. And that's just what I would do.
