Rose POV:

Giselle has been gone for over a day, but it feels like it's been longer. The police haven't found anything about her whereabouts, but they promised me they will do everything in their power to bring her back.

When we broke the news to her mom, she immediately broke down and I decide that it would be best if I were honest to Giselle's mom on why she was taken. That meant telling her that I was a princess. At first she was confused as to why I was telling her all this information and she wondered what it had to do with her daughter being taken, but once we told her that it might be because they want to use Giselle into making us do something, she understood. I've always seen Giselle's mom as a second mom. She treated me like I was her own child. I was allowed in their house whenever, I've gone with them on family trips, plus she proudly supports the relationship I have with Giselle. So when she started screaming at me and telling me that this was all my fault I was a little taken back. Luckly, Giselle's brother was there and was able to help her calm down a little. I had never seen her so violent. Each verbal attack she threw at me, I took. The hatred and disgust she felt towards me, I will never forget. She was looking at me like I was the one who took her daughter.

I stood quietly, looking at my hands the entire time trying to fight back my tears as she told me how I was a selfish sult, how she wished I had never met Giselle, that I should have been the one taken, and how it was my fault that her daughter was gone. Each thing she said tore through me. She was right. It's my fault that Giselle was taken. I was selfish. I ignored my mom's warnings. She warned me not to tell Giselle about my life and not get close to someone, I didn't listen and now Giselle is gone.

Niko tried to stop his mom, but she kept going. Her face was red and tear stained. She was waving her fists up and down as if she wanted to hit me. If she did, I would have let her. I deserve it. Tristan told Niko to call us if he found any information and that we would do the same if we found any, and then Tristan ushered me out of their house and back into the car.

Once I had gotten back home and cried for about an hour or two, I finally pulled my act together. The longer I pitied myself was longer that Giselle was gone. It felt like a part of me was missing. I know with every single fiber or my being that Giselle is my soul mate. We are meant to be together. She completed me, she's the missing piece of a puzzle piece that is me. My other half. And I need to find my other half and I'll do whatever it takes to do so.

*************

"Mon chéri, I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what we can do," my father said into the phone.

"Don't you have like really good private investigators?" I asked.

"Yes, but we don't have any leads on who took your friend."

"But it's clearly tied with the stuff that's happening down in Paris, don't you have information on that," I replied a little frustrated.

"We don't know who is doing that," he stated.

"Papa-"

"Claire, listen, "I heard him sigh, "the only thing we can do now is wait until whoever has her contacts us. If it is tied in with what's happening here then whoever this is will definitely send us a message of some sort."

"What do you mean of "some sort"? Do you think they'd hurt her?" I panicked.

"No, no. I don't think they'll do that... They'll use her to get what they want and if something happens to her then they have nothing to use against us."

Hearing that calmed me down a little. If what he was saying is true, then Giselle is probably physically fine. Although, I imagine she's scared to death right now, I know I would be.
