Song above has nothing to do with the chapter, but I like it. It's "Bed Peace" by Jhene Aiko and Childish Gambino.

Rose POV:

"Rose, dépèche toi," Tristan said as he walked towards my private plane.

Translation: "Rose, hurry up."

We have grown closer in these past few days. He was very humorous and always teased me. I expected him to be uptight, but he was actually just like any other teenager. We acted like we had known each other for a long time. I told him about Giselle and how I'm dating her. He took it well and said that he was excited to meet her. I still haven't told Giselle that I now have a full time body guard. Actually, I haven't talked to her as much as I would have liked to.

I boarded the plane and took a seat. This past week had been intense because of my training with Tristan and the meetings that I had to attend. Tristan worked me to the bone. Every time I took a step it felt like my legs were jello and that they would give out on me. My arms couldn't hold up my phone for more than a few minutes before hurting again. Although, Tristan said he was going to give me a small break once I reached my home back in the US.

I fell asleep at some point during the plane ride, which doesn't surprise me considering how tired I was. When the plane landed I awoke.

"Finally," I stood up and stretched out. My neck and arms made a cracking sound and I let out a satisfied sigh.

Giselle didn't know that I was coming home because I wanted to surprise her. In France, I had a little free time so I decided to go get her a present. I felt terrible for leaving her earlier than expected and for neglecting her this past week. She was always on my mind and I didn't enjoy coming home as much as I thought I would. I realized that France was no longer my home, Giselle was. Even though I was preoccupied the majortiy of the time, I called and facetimed her whenever I had the chance.

There was a little shop that I went to. I saw it when I first arrived and I had wanted to visit it. I almost didn't see it since it was small and placed between two bigger, fancier shops. The first time I went inside I was surrounded by people which made it extremely difficult for me to shop. I wanted to get the perfect gift for Giselle, but I felt like nothing was good enough for her. I left, then returned the next day, this time they cleared out the people out of the store so I was able to shop. I roamed around the store, picking up things that caught my interest as I went. I almost gave up until I saw a gold necklace. It had the letter 'R' on it. I asked the owner if they had one with the letter 'E' on it, thankfully they did. I kept the one with the 'E' on it for myself. It stood for "Ellie." I was going to go with the first letter of her first name but changed my mind. For me, calling Giselle "Ellie" was more personal than calling her something everyone called her.

I exited the plane with Tristan following behind me.

"You can go straight to the house, I have something I need to do first," I told him once we got into the car. I took a seat across from my mother. He sat next to me as he shook head.

"I'm sorry, Claire, but I'm on strict orders from the king to keep an eye on you at all times."

"I'll be fine," I told him. I wanted to be alone with Giselle. I missed her radiant smile, her eyes that would sparkle when she was happy, her sweet taste, and her flowery scent. I would often visit the garden that was at the castle. I'd walk around and smell the flowers and close my eyes and imagine that Giselle was with me.

Once again, he shook his head, "No can do."

I sighed and clenched my jaw, "I'm visiting Giselle."

He seemed to get what I was hinting at because his mouth created an O shape.
