It hurts at both the ends

Nandini's POV

I stood getting drenched in the shower trying to hold my tears as the slid away with the water pouring on my head , my body shivered because of the cold water yet it wasn't effecting me , why was I crying for him ? He is the one who broke my heart , I tried to act maturely , I gave him a chance to explain but he had nothing to say he didn't utter a single word in his defence , I wish he did because I wanted to believe him , I wanted to trust him but he never gave me a chance to do so

" how could his eyes lie so well " I kept mumbling to myself

" what if they weren't ? " my heart whispered

" after hurting her so much you still have the audacity to talk ! " my mind screamed

" I have a right to ! " heart yelled

" you lost it when you trusted a man like him I can't believe you forced her to go talk to him after what we saw back at home ! " my mind kept spitting fire

" you are still calling that apartment home , why ? because they both made it one  " my heart smirked

" oh shut up ! " mind yelled

" he loves her , I know it ! " my heart screamed

" he's a cheater ! " my mind yelled

" shut up you both ! Just shut up " I closed my ears and slid down the wall hugging my knees as I cried my eyes out

" nandini ? Are you ok ? Should I come in if you need anything ? " navya knocked on the door and I quickly turned the shower off and wiped my tears

" Han navya ! Abhi aayi " I replied and got out of the shower i changed and looked at myself in the mirror

my eyes were red and swelled up , my face was pale but I wish I cared , I looked down not wanting to see myself when my eyes fell on the infinity ring on my ring finger and tears said hi once again

I held it and tried removing it from my finger but in vain , it just didn't come off while my tears wouldn't stop it looked as if I was lending out all my pain on that little ring

" it won't come off " my heart said

" things that are meant to be with us should never be forcefully separated " hear whispered

" please go away , you're hurting me ! Please jao . I just want to block you out ! " I yelled while I cried

" you can't do that and it's not me that's hurting you , it's the idea of being without manik that's hurting you " heart scolded and I just stormed out of the washroom

" nandini woh Q labels se 2 baar phone aaya tha kisi tarun ka " navya informed as I came out

" Han ok I'll call him " I replied and grabbed my phone when navya held my hand and hugged me

" it's ok , everything will fall into place just give it some time " she whispered and I kept sobbing while she patted my head trying to calm me down

" I loved him navya " I mumbled

" he loves you to.. " I interrupted

" don't ! Please don't ! "

" acha ok let's not talk about this , waise bhi rote hue tum bilkul bandariya Lagti ho " she mocked and I chuckled

" sit I'll get you something to eat " she said

" I don't want to eat " I argued

" you are eating and I don't want any arguments about it ! " she scolded and left as I called tarun

" hi tarun , sorry couldn't take your call " I said as he picked up

" it's ok , I just wanted you to know that mr.Sehgal would like to have a word with you tomorrow "  he informed

" oh I wanted to talk to him as well , it's something important , but a word with me , so it's just me right ? " I asked

" oh yes , manik is not picking up and sir mainly needs to speak to you so I guess 7:00 am tomorrow would be good "  he said

" isn't it too early ? " I asked

" sir has to catch a flight at 9:00 so if you don't mind "

" oh yeah absolutely , I'd be there " I replied in the most professional voice I could manage while just the name  of manik was tearing me apart

End of POV

Manik's POV

I called navya and she picked up at the first ring

" bhai " she called out

" is she ok ? " I asked

" no " she whispered

" did she eat anything ? " I asked because I knew she wouldn't

"  not yet but I am taking some food for her " she informed

" navya .. "

" Han ? "

" please usko rone mat dena " I whispered

" koshish karun gi bhai " she said in a cracking voice

" you ok ? " I asked

" this shouldn't have happened to you both " she said with a sniff that indicated that she cried

" don't cry please " I said

" I'll take care of her bhai " she promised

" can I hear her voice ? " I asked

" sure "

" navya ! "

" jee ? "

" try to make her laugh would you ? It's been a while I heard it " I pleaded and she promised to try

" nandini , here eat " I heard navyas voice

" I don't want to yaar , please " she argued , like always

" no more arguments nandini thora khao but khao ! " navya yelled

" nandini ! " navya growled and I know she must've pouted that's what she used to do when I would scold her..

" fine "  she fussed and ate while navya cracked some horrendous jokes and at last she laughed at one , I heard her giggle what felt like I hadn't heard it in ages as I closed my eyes yet the tear still slipped out of it and I ended the call no being able to take it anymore as I cried whole heartedly letting out everything 

" what are you doing " my mind asked my heart

" beating for her " it replied

" What are you doing ? " he asked mind

" thinking of her " mind replied and I smiled because from tomorrow it's mission get our love back
