He ended the call and turned around to witness the cutest sight , nandini leaned on the wall in her cute minion pyjamas , rubbing her eyes while yawning

"Tum thora dheere nahi bol sakte , subah subah kis bechare pe chilla rahe thay" she complained in her sleepy voice as she crashed on the little one seater cushion chair in their living area which was kept there until their couch arrived

"Woh it was cabir , he was reminding me about Christmas celebration and new year prom" manik replied

"omg how can I forget " she exclaimed as she almost jumped on her feet and started blabbering excitedly "you know Christmas is one of my favourite festivals , having a Christmas tree , decorating the tree and your house ,and u know main amazing hot chocolate banti hun my dad used to drink two cups at a time and then buying gifts and then trying to hide them all along , omg and London main snow fall hota tha na so me and aryaman always used to have a huge snow ball fight almost every day and main humesha jeet jati thi aur phir on Christmas day dad and arya both used to surprise me with the best of gifts and then..." and she just stopped as if all her excitement had come to an end and she sat back on the chair

"Kya hua continue na chup kyun ho gayi" manik asked

He saw her and noticed a tear rolling down her cheek and without thinking once he kneeled in front of her and cupped her cheeks and wiped her tears with his thumb and she looked at him in disbelief , shocked to see him wiping her tears

"Shh kya hua , why are you crying ? " he asked

"Woh humesha Christmas par I used to be with dad and arya and they are my only family and this Christmas I have no one with me ." She said while sniffing her nose

"Uff tum bhi na nandini itni si baat pe koi rota hai kya , koi aur nahi hai toh kya hua baqi sab friends toh hain , navya , Cabir , mukti , Aliya , dhruv woh sab toh hain na " manik assured

"Aur tum ?" She asked innocently and his eyes shot up in shock to her question

"Han ...m...main bhi" he stammered but replied

She smiled and unknowingly crashed into his chest and hugged him tight , he hesitated at first but hugged her back and rested his chin on her forehead , her tiny frame fitted perfectly in his tall muscular figure and they stood still holding each other when suddenly Nandini's mind brought her back to reality and she instantly left him and he did too

"Woh ..." manik tried to give an excuse but failed

"Waise what's for breakfast ?" nandini diverted the topic

"And why do you think i would make breakfast for you" manik asked with a smirk

"Because amongst the two of us there's only one person who knows how to cook and that person is definitely not me" she replied folding her hands across her chest

"I am not cooking for you" he replied

"Please na manik , navya told me you're a great cook and it's been days since I've had home made food " she said with a pleading face

"And what would I get if I do that" he asked with a smirk

"Uhmm toh I promise aaj pura din main tumhe bilkul trouble nahi karun gi" she replied innocently

"Fine then" he said

He walked towards the kitchen and after 5 minutes he heard him shout

"Nandini Murthy servant nahi hun tumhara come and help me" he shouted

"huh fine!!" She said and walked towards the kitchen stomping her feet

"Finally now come and help me , chopping toh aati hogi na tumhe " he asked

"itna useless samajh rakha hai kya tumne mujhe , chopping aati hai mujhe !" She replied making an akimbo

"Proceed please !" He said sarcastically

She began to chop the vegetables and he was busy with other stuff
"Could you please grab that chair and get me that box from above" manik said

"Ok wait" she said and stood on the chair , she picked up the box nd wa about to get down when it opened and the flour inside emptied on his head

"Nandini !!!" He screamed and nandini started laughing as she got of the chair "stop laughing murthy!"

"Sorry sorry but tum itne funny lag rahe ho with that flour all over your face that I couldn't control myself " she said between her laughs

"Shut up !" He said and she couldn't help but laugh more

He didn't say anything else and just took the box from the content and threw flour at her and it was his turn to laugh now

"What the hell manik !" She shouted as she got a fist full of flour and the it on his face

"Oh you're so dead" he said grabbing the box as she ran and he ran behind her

He was throwing flour at her and she was doing the same running all around the kitchen and all of a sudden both of them slipped due to the flour on the floor , they both started arguing again and then suddenly there was pin drop silence in the kitchen and then they looked at each other and burst out laughing

"Pagal" he said under his breath while laughing as he playfully hit her head

"Tum bhi kam pagal nahi ho" she said hitting his head back playfully

"Chalo let's clean this up" he said as he gave her a hand to get up and she happily accepted and got up , he was going out when she said something that he stopped

"Mujh se dil ki batain kar sakte ho , mujhe apne bhai ke saamny protect kar sakte ho , mere liye khana bana sakte ho , mere saath masti bhi kar sakte ho toh mujh se dosti bhi toh kar sakte ho na " she asked with a smile

"Well it's not that bad of an idea " he replied with a smirk

"Great so let's start afresh . Hi I am nandini murthy " she said forwarding her hand as he happily shook it "age 18 , classical singer hun , relationship status single because no guy likes to date a girl covered in flour *laughs* from London , and right now living with a 6 feet tall sassy moron " she said while laughing

"Well hi nandini , i am manik, manik malhotra , age 19 , music student , relationship status single because I am too cool , from Mumbai and right now stuck in an apartment with a tiny minion (a/n hail to the shout out to my hubby ;) Minion789 ) who is covered in flour " he said as they both burst out laughing

"Nice to meet you" they both sid in unison
