"Mukti saxena would you mind just picking one dress you've tried more than 18 dresses today and you seem too look good in every one of them then what the hell is wrong with you , just pick one bruh !" Aliya yelled from outside the trial room

We the girls have been roaming around in the mall all day to find our perfect prom dresses , at least that's what we thought we'd do but ever since we've came only mukti had been trying dresses because she seems to be satisfied with nothing although every dress she tried looked amazing on her perfect slim figure , I can't blame her though , we girls have a mind of our own , the three girls had been talking all about their love life but I was too lost caressing my earlobes basically caressing those errings that manik had given to me and I couldn't resist but wear em today , I think it was genuinely so sweet of him to get me a gift , he is a monster no doubt in that but a nice monster , a sweet monster , I like his company , I enjoy time with him , it's crazy but now I feel like going home early so that I could spend some time with him , ughh Nandini stop thinking or else you brain is go in to burst

"Guys come on , it's my first prom with abhi , I need to look beyond perfect it's our very first time !" She justified herself and that one line was enough to bring me out if my lala land

"Wait! seriously ? So with whom you've been going in the previous ones then ?" I asked in a utterly surprised tone

"Well I used to go with manik , abhimanyu used to be in US so only me and manik never had anyone we could go with so we would always pair up for prom" mukti said while looking in the mirror wearing a really beautiful knee length dress and I swear if she didn't take this I'd chop her neck , it looked that pretty on her

"Manik bhai is very sweet , do you know nandini bhai gets more than 50 proposals for prom every year from the girls in college but he always used to come with mukti so that she never feels alone" navya said and I smiled like an idiot hearing manik's name , ughh what's wrong with me

"Wait nandini , I'll go with dhruv , navya will go with Cabir , and and mukti with abhimanyu , who'd you go with ?" Aliya asked

"i dont know , I haven't been asked out yet , let's see " I said

"Ok guys , I like this one" mukti exclaimed in joy picking the dress that I mentally loved on her

"Finally!" We all said with a deep sigh and after all the time in the world that mukti took we started looking for dresses for ourselves

Meanwhile back at "rock café"

Manik's p.o.v

I had just ended a song and for the first time ever I didn't close my eyes , I didn't feel like doing so , maybe because my mind was already occupied with someone's thoughts , who else could it be these days except for nandini murthy , in the , morning when I got ready and was leaving for college , i couldn't hold myself back from wearing the watch she gave and I have literally been smiling like morons every time I look at it which apparently means 25 times in 1 minute , something is wrong with my brain , either it's a cross connection or probably a short circuit , why am I thinking about her so much , yeah I can't deny that I loved the fact that she surprised me , wait ! What ? Guys can't get mushy if girls surprise them , yeah they can so shut up head !  Let me be , ughh she just won't get off my stupid mind , I just keep thinking about how cute she is , when she irritates me in the mornings , talks about deep shit going on in our lives at night , last night when I kissed her on her cheek , she was flushed in my favourite color and trust me when I say that it took all the power in the world for me to not kiss those chubby red blushing cheeks again , this girl drives me nuts even when she's not around , I kept having the war in my mind until I reached the table where the guys have been sitting

"That was a great performance rock star !" Abhi said

"Thanks bro" I said

"I wonder if these girls are planning to come back or not , they are 2 freaking hours late !" Cabir complained like a 5 year old

"if you're missing navya so just say it bro , we won't tease you , stop cursing the girls " dhruv mocked

" it's better if they're late , at least we have our guy time , if they come right now all we're going to hear is "the great story of the legendry girls who shopped for prom in a day! " so please dude , let it be" I said

"Actually you're right " abhi said

"So have you two asked your girls out for prom yet ?" Cabir asked

"And I thought we were having guy time" I muttered under my breath with a deep sigh

"Did you say something ?" Dhruv asked

"No nothing"  i said

"Why do we have to ask them out I mean they are our girlfriends , it's obvious we'd go with em " abhi protested

"Oh bro ! Seriously ? It's against he rules of prom to not ask a girl " cabir said

"Wait ? RULES OF PROM ! Does that even exist " I asked with wide eyes

"According to my girlfriend , yes it does exist !" Cabir replied woh a sigh "But what's more important is , we all know who we're gonna ask out , but what about you , don't you need a date as well " and there it is , I just got cabirofied , that word should be in the dictionary now , with the meaning " causing irritation or annoyance."

"I don't know , I haven't given a thought on it , we'll see to it" I somehow saved my ass because I knew where he was heading

"Finally the girls are here "dhruv said with a sigh of relief and me and we walked up to them to help them with their bags

"Hey" I whispered to nandini while taking her bags

"Hi" she whispered back and handed me half of what she was holding , still keeping the half with her

"At least not all the chivalry is dead in you guys " Aliya mocked to which the girls laughed as we got seated on a bigger table

End of p.o.v

"Acha by the way manik , if you're free tomorrow shall we go and get a suit for me , I have a pretty lady I have to match up" cabir said pulling navya's cheek

"Cabir..." navya said calmly

"Yes baby ?" He said

"if that's you're proposal then let me tell you , I AM NOT COMING WITH YOU " navya said with a grin

"Ok then madam wait and watch !" Cabir said and picked up a flower from the vase kept in middle of the table and stood up on the chair "may I have your attention please" cabir yelled and grabbed everyone's attention "so there's this girl here , whom I love a lot , so I want to ask her something , navya my love would you like to be my partner to the prom " he said out loud and navya stood still in shock , everyone around kept saying "say yes"

"I'll be honoured" navya replied and Cabir pocked her up in his arms

"Aww they are so cute " nandini said as she leaned her head on kinks shoulder unknowingly

"Yeah very cute" manik said while looking at her
