TLH2: Chapter 31

"We're here!"

My eyes wandered around the place. And I admit that I feel like I'm in a paradise. Napahawak ako sa sumbrero ko when the wind blows. Napaka-sariwa din ng hangin dito. Sabay-sabay kaming pumasok sa loob ng bahay. It was made with specialized wood, it's floor to ceiling window was perfectly placed to see the beauty of the sea, modern furniture were present and warm color palettes that makes the house looking fresh in the eyes. The house is simply beautiful and relaxing.

"Oh, magpahinga na muna kayo, okay? We have plenty of rooms here. Pumili nalang kayo kung saan niyo gusto. After that, we'll take a tour." Mommy said. 

 Hindi naman masyadong matagal yung biyahe pero pakiramdam ko pagod na pagod ako. I don't know but these past few days, parang ang bigat bigat ng katawan ko.  

Biglang tumayo si Serene. "I'll take the last room from the left."

"Tss, that's supposed to be mine." Calvin

"Whatever." Serene said at dali-dali itong umakyat sa itaas. Napa-iling ako. Those two never change. 

Nalipat ang tingin ko kay Alice na kakapasok lang dala ang ibang mga gamit nila Mama at Papa. Inilapag niya ito sa sahig. I watched her while she's busy checking the bags when I saw someone looking at her and I got a feeling who is it and I was right. Calvin was also looking at her. At may kakaiba sa tingin nito. Hindi ko alam kung ano na nangyari sa dalawang 'to. 

Biglang umiwas ng tingin si Calvin at agad naman nalipat ang tingin ko kay Alice na mukhang nagulat. Nagkatinginan naman kami ni Alice, nakita ko ang pamumula sa mukha nito at dali-dali namang lumabas ulit. I was about to look at Calvin when I felt a little tug.

 "Mommy, let's go the beach!" 

Agad akong napalingon kay Ivo nang hilahin ako nito at turo-turo sa beach. 

"Ivo, let's take a rest first."

"But Mommy I'm not tired." Ivo said pouting. 

Lumuhod ako dito. "Baby, promise we will go to the beach after you take a rest okay?"

Ivo just pouted at biglang sumilip si likod ko. Bigla naman nagbago ang expression ng mukha nito. 

"Daddy, can we go to the beach now, pleeeeaaassseeee?"

I was taken a back. I never expect Ivo to be like this. Nagkatinginan kami ni Ivan and gave him a warning look. Binalik naman agad nito ang tingin kay Ivo. 

"Sure, sport." Ivo face lightened up. "But, I have a question."

"What, daddy?"

"Are you tired?" 

"No, daddy! I still have energy oh. Look!" Ivo said at bigla itong nagtatalon at naglilikot. 

Ivan laughed. "Okay, okay that's enough. So, mommy can we go?"

Tumingin sa akin si Ivan, pinanlisikan ko naman ito ng mga mata. "No."

"But, Mom!" 

"No buts, Ivo."

"Daddy! Mommy doesn't want us to go to the beach." Ivo said pouting. 

I saw Ivan sighed at may binulong pa ito kay Ivo na siyang tumango-tango naman. Ano naman kaya sinasabi nito sa anak niya?

"Okay Mommy, I will take a rest now." 

Nagulat ako kay Ivo then I turned into Ivan na nginitian lang ako. Why do I feel like they're hiding something? 

"Okay? Then go upstairs na." Sabi ko nalang. 

Ivan and Ivo looked into each other at parang nag-uusap ang mga mata nito. Bigla naman humikab si Ivo at kinarga na ito ni Ivan. Sus inaantok din pala ang anak ko. Napa-iling ako. Lumapit ako dito and kissed his hair.
