TLH2: Chapter 5

Ivan's POV

I sighed the moment I stepped out of her office. All the pain I felt for her just magically disappeared just by seeing her again. Naiinis na ako sa sarili ko. Bakit ang bilis ko naman bumigay ng ganu'n? And on the night at her condo, hindi ko na napigilan yung sarili ko. My whole system is longing for her. That's why I kissed her but the thing is, she responded to my kisses. Those kisses, I've missed those. The way her soft lips brushed through mine never changed. And on that moment, I realized one thing, I realized that I still want her in my life. I want Eunica and our child in my life again. I'll do whatever it takes to get her back in my arms.

It was only yesterday but I already miss her. And I want to see her right now. Pero hindi ko magawa because of all these paper works jammed packed on my desk! Oo, CLS is at it's declining stage pero hindi ko na nga alam kung saan nanggagaling itong mga papeles na 'to. I sighed. Kailan ba ako mawawalan ng gawain? I smiled bitterly, dahil dito kaya nagkanda-gulo gulo ang buhay namin. And it's all my fault. But, now I won't let anyone or anything to keep me apart from Eunica. Mababaliw na ako ng tuluyan kapag nawala pang muli si Eunica. She's here again and I'll win her back even if it risk my life.

Napalingon ako ng may kumatok sa pintuan ng office ko. Hans entered.

"Sir"

"What is it, Hans?"

"Sir, an Atty. Galvez wants to talk to you."

I furrowed my brows. "I don't know an Atty. Galvez."

Pagkasabi ko nu'n kay Hans ay binalik ko na ang mga tingin ko sa papeles na kanina ko pa nirereview. Alam na ni Hans ang gagawin niya. And seconds later, I heard my door opened and closed. Iisa lang ang lawyer ko kaya sino namang Atty. Galvez ang pupunta sa akin? And I also know kung sino ang pinapapuntang representative ng abogado ko in case he isn't available.

Napakunot naman ang noo ko ng pumasok muli si Hans.

"Sir, he was sent by a certain Ms. Sanders to you."

I froze the moment I heard that name. Bigla nalang kumalabog ng mabilis ang dibdib ko ng hindi ko alam. I looked at Hans and nodded at him at agad naman itong tumungo sa labas. I inhaled deeply at tumayo pagka-bukas palang ng pinto. A man entered the room. Parang ka-edaran ko lang ang taong naglalakad papunta sa akin. He's a tall man and he resembles someone familiar, at halos magkatangkaran na rin sila ni Hans. And from the way he looks, he's not just an ordinary lawyer. Why would Eunica get this kind of lawyer? A part of me cursed to that thought.

"You must be Atty. Galvez." I lend my hand at malugod naman nito tinanggap.

"Mr. Clarkson." 

"Please have a sit." Aya ko dito.

"Thank you, Sir but I won't take long. You were reminded by your secretary that I was sent here by my client, Ms. Sanders?"

"Ah, yes. What brings you here, Attorney?"

Tinignan ako nito bago may kinuhang folder sa suitcase nito at inilahad sa akin.

"I am here to bring you this, Sir."

My brows furrowed when I accepted the folder and opened it. Nang makita ko ang nilalaman ng folder na hawak ko, parang tumigil ang buong mundo ko. Hindi ako naka-imik. Nanigas ang buong katawan ko and I can't think straight right now. Napalingon ako kay Atty. Galvez.

"We just need your sign there, Mr. Clarkson. So, we can proceed to the co--"

"I CANNOT ACCEPT THIS!"

Shock was painted on the Attorney's face pero nabago din agad nito. There's really something about this Attorney. He cleared his throat.

"Sir, it's just your signature that we need. My client is very eager to pursue the papers immediately."
