Who would've known?
Last night, you slept like a feather.
It was so peaceful, no bad dreams, no nothing.
It felt nice.
You opened your eyes, the sunlight hitting your eyes from the high window.
You yawned, sitting up right and rubbing your eyes.
Jack seemed to be sitting on the ground, throwing a bouncy ball at the wall and catching it again.
The moment he noticed you were up, he smiled.

"Well, good morning, sleeping beauty!" He let out a low chuckle, fetching the bouncing ball.

You smiled, scratching your furry ear.

"Morning."

"How'd you sleep?" He asked.

"I slept great! It is so nice to finally feel fully rested."

"Figured." He grins.

You grabbed your tail, placing it on your lap.

"Hey, Jacky?"

He looked over at you, holding the bouncy ball in his hands.

"Yes?"

You nervously fiddled with your tail.
This was a bit embarrassing to say.

"Thanks for...Uh, last night. For sleeping with me, you know. I felt safe with you." You nervously smiled, keeping your gaze on your tail.

Jack smiled.

"You tryna' confess something?~" He teased.

You felt your face heat up.

"W-What do you mean?! I'm just thanking you, dork!" You quickly hissed.

Jack gave a soft laugh.

"Relax! Just kidding. It was no problem."

Agh, how badly he wanted to tell the truth!
The time would come, though.
That's what he hoped, at least.
Your ears perked up at the sound of footsteps coming from outside.

"Breakfast!" You squeaked.

One of the guards walked in with a tray that had two plates with food and two glasses of water.
He placed the tray down on the nightstand and walked back out.
You grabbed your plate and started munching on your food.
A normal human being would probably take a few minutes to finish the whole plate.
But Jack?
He finished in, what, a minute or so?
His stomach growled.
This had to do with his hunger problems, you guessed.
The doctors would get him once again for "treatment" after his meal.
