{Ethan}

Two weeks had zoomed bye. Sage had healed within the first three days, so we still had to leave.

The airport. Stupid, dreaded place.

I knew this location would be the last time I saw my parents for a while.

"Sage, please don't leave!" His parents were begging him, and it took Denton's parents to hold them back and stop them from shifting. I quickly leaned over and hugged my parents, giving them a kiss on the cheek. Some of the pack members had come to wave their heirs good bye and wish them a safe return.

Winter and Summer refused to let go of my legs, soaking the jeans I wore with their tears.

"No! Ethan! Pwease stay!" They kept begging me, their eyes red and faces soaked with tears. My heart clenched to see them so fragile, and within the depths of my mind, I could feel my wolves whining for them. I pulled away and gently pushed them off, hugging them.

"You guys stay here, I can't. Winter. Take care of mom and dad and your sister while I'm gone. That is the same for you, Summer. Be strong for me." It took all I had to refuse the leakage of sadness and utter guilt to become evident into my voice.

They nodded weakly and watched as I backed away, grabbing a broken Terrace away. Denton put on a strong face on as he dragged a sobbing Sage away from his crying mother. I didn't look back, knowing that once I did, I wouldn't be able to move from my spot and run back to my family.

We boarded the plane, many eighteen year old teens red eyed as they looked on in silence. From the smell of it, we were the only wolves there, but we didn't care. We choose seats that were near each other, Denton sitting with Sage as I sat with Terrace. No one uttered a word, the only thing being heard was the sound a plane makes and the fast heartbeats of the passengers inside.

We had refused to bring our phones, but had brought our instruments.

Sage, Terrace and I had decided on bringing acoustic guitars, Denton being the only one that brought a violin with him.

And then, the adventure began.

The plane ride lasted overnight, landing and having to take a bus to the training camp.

We were all tired, some having jet lag while my group seemed to be fine, side from the sadness.

We didn't like this.

We were an ocean away from everything we grew up from and had learned, but it didn't matter. It would be foolish to think we were going to stay here forever.

We were all evaluated on what our best chance at a job would be. Terrace had gotten sniper, and Sage, Denton and I had gotten straight combat.

Thankfully, we were on the same platoon, along with the only two other wolves.

They were girls, Jessie and Kelly. The older one, Jessie, or Jess as she insisted, had shoulder length brown hair with bright amber eyes. Kelly, or Kell, also had shoulder length brown hair, but got black eyes.

Both of them had a shy attitude, though Jess had a more outgoing personality, and Kell was more reserved.

"I don't think I will be able to make it." Jess admitted, lying down on a cot across the room. Kell was resting in the cot next to her.

"Don't worry, we can make it out together." Terrace encouraged her. He was on his own cot, fixing to go to sleep like Denton and Sage had. I had lolled them to sleep with the soft playing of my guitar, trying to find something good in the situation. "Besides, we won't have to see the stupid teachers anymore, talking and lecturing about missed homework." He chuckled, interrupted by a yawn.

"Guys, go to sleep. Your wolves will wake you when training begins." I gave a soft yawn as I strummed the last note before putting my guitar away.

I was greeted by comfortable silence before I had turned the soft yellow light off.

This was going to be hell.

Morning soon came and we were woken up from our rest with Sergeant screaming.

We had stood in an instant, our reflexes making us tumble to the side of our cots.

Sage struggled slightly, being a heavy sleeper, and had gotten yelled at by the Sergeant.

I withheld a small growl that wanted to interrupt the Sergeant, but I knew better.

"Training starts now!" We were given a series of commands, and we had followed them, the Alphas hesitating, but had payed the price by having to do extra training.

Obviously, we weren't very open to the fact that high ranking wolves would be ordered around, but it was the sake of survival and protection that we had followed the orders. After the 'morning routine', we had joined up with the rest of the groups to continue on with the real training. We had split according to deemed job, and then trained to be the best.

With a slight groan, I had went through the practice course, lagging behind sometimes in ares that I was not trained for back home.

Sage had gotten yelled at, again, and Jess had also gotten yelled at. I could only hope Terrace was doing okay.

We had collapsed on our cots, completely tired as we waited for Terrace.

He came in, just as tired as he slumped over his cot.

"Damned Private my ass...." He mumbled, sitting up when he noticed our stares.

"What happened?" Kell asked, taking a drink of water.

"Well, let's just say, a certain Sergeant doesn't like me because I had apparently offended him in ways even I don't know." He grabbed a bottle of water and drank the contents in a gulp.

"I don't know about you guys, but I'm hungry." Denton said from under his cot. He had slipped off and groaned about being to weak to sit up or move.

"I don't want to go with out Sage or Jess." I grabbed my guitar weakly, strumming a soft tune to fill the tense and silent air.

"Where are they?" Terrace asked, looking around before sighing and standing up, waling over to Denton and dragging him back onto the cot.

"Extra training for slacking off. I would be there too, but I managed to barely make it." I admitted, strumming a bit more before we were interrupted by a sudden thud.

"Sage." I put my guitar down and went to the door, finding a passed out Sage soaked in sweat, Jess barely managing to stand behind him. I carried Sage with renewed strength to his cot, taking his sweaty shirt and pants off before putting a black tank top and a new pair of pants on him.

"Damn. Terrace, get a towel. I think he is over heating." I placed my hand on his scalding forehead.

"Think fast." Terrace tossed me a towel which I easily caught, soaking part of it with water before placing it on his forehead.

"Denton, can you move now?" I looked over to the red head, watching him nod and sit up. "Take care of him. I'm going to the mess hall and grab some food. Terrace, Kell, join me." They nodded at my order as we rushed out, managing to grab some food and rush back, Terrace grabbing some bottles of water on his way.

Already, I knew it was going to take a while to get used
