The marauders had a compartment which was theirs. Like even the first years on the train got the vibes that it was someone else's and the marauders would always sit there and even Lily joined them eventually in their seventy year and they all had their initials carved under the seats or something and then years later The golden trio etc in that compartment plus professor r.j lupin sat in that compartment with Harry, Hermione and Ron.
