Daniel's POV

I look at him, a scowl growing on my tear stained face.

"Okay?" I say, more as a question than a statement. "So what do you want?"

He looks at me, a look of sympathy on his face.

"I'm sorry to bother you at a time like this, but I feel like you really need to know this," he begins, causing an unsettling feeling to overtake me.

"Heard those words before," I mutter to myself, quiet enough so he doesn't hear.

I shake my head, running my fingers through my hair. This day has been filled with enough years and stress, I don't need anymore.

"Whatever it is, I doubt it's more important than Joey." I snap, watching his facial features sharpen. He clenches his fists, his jaw tensing noticeably.

"It's about Joey actually," he says through clenched teeth, putting an emphasis on Joey's name.

I cross my arms over my chest, tapping my foot impatiently on the floor, causing a loud echoing noise to occur. All I currently care about is Joey's well-being.

"I'm having a sense of déjà vu," I sigh, looking at him with sad eyes. He smiles weakly.

"A little before you guys...broke up...?" he begins, looking at me questioningly. I shrug. We never truly broke up, but we both knew it was over.

"He came to me. He wanted to hook up, so it became a usual thing." he adds quietly, watching for my reaction.

I hold back tears, waiting for him to continue. Joey is a lot of things, but a cheater? I'm then reminded that he cheated on Preston with Christian. This whole situation is just messed up.

"No he didn't. I don't believe that." I snap, refusing to make eye contact with him. He walks closer to me, attempting to place his hand on my shoulder. I shrug it off immediately, backing away cautiously.

"I'm not the enemy, Daniel." he whispers, walking closer to me.

"Joey is."
