Hey guys! So you can skip this if you want and come back to it later if you're thinking halfway through the story "psh... vampires don't do that!" (>°_°)>

Okay here are some notes on the vampires in my story:

>Leaders of clans have powers which are usually passed down through their bloodlines. However if there are no available heirs, leaders can choose who they give their powers too once they step down.

>Almost all vampires have super hearing, strength, eyesight, speed, and healing abilities as well as immortality. Some vampires who have extra powers are usually assigned to be a leader of a clan since they are considered stronger than average vampires and more able to protect clans. It is possible for a vampire to gain an ability but it is very rare and must have already been in their DNA somewhere. It is also possible for a someone with powers to unknowingly awaken powers in other vampires, but this is also rare. Most powers are either related to nature or the mind.

Other Main Characters (Highlighted in Bold):

>Markovnik Blackborne has the power to move objects, telekinesis.

>Anton Blackborne, oldest son of Markovnik Blackborne through harsh training while become a guard, was able to gain the ability of telekines.

>Iosif Blackborne, brother of Markovnik Blackborne who controls the largest clan in the world, has the power to control earth.

>Michael Underwood, Leader of the Black Dwelling clan has the power to control fire.

>It is uncommon for vampires to have children, but not impossible. Usually 1 in 300 females can have a child/children but most only have one or two. Matings can be either male/ female, male/male, or female/female but same gendered matings are either looked down upon or approved depending on which clan a vampire is from. Male vampire pregnancies in my story are possible just very unlikely. 1 in 10,000 males could possibly conceive a child but most children don't make it to term. It is also dangerous for a vampire to have a human mate considering blood lust is the common problem that arises. Thus the vampire ends up killing their human mate and become so depressed they end up killing themselves. Werewolves exist and warlocks/witches exist but warlocks/witches have supposedly been all killed or there are too few left that none have been seen.

>Vampires can also smell their mate. Their mates specific blood gives off an alluring scent. Only when the mate has been claimed will other unmated vampires not be attracted.

>Because blood lust has caused wars to break out, all clans have a supply of blood bags if needed. Otherwise hunting animals is perfectly legal. Biting a human either turns them into a vampire or kills them. Newborn vampires or recently bitten humans are not in control of their normal powers and are usually kept far away from humans. Biting a human without claiming who they are to you in front of your clan, aka your mate, is against all clan laws ordered by the council because it can put the entire clan in danger creating newly bitting humans everywhere; if they survive.

>The council are usually a bunch of old vampires, except for Vlad Blackborne (second son of Markovnik Blackborne) who is the youngest in the council. They see to vampires who have broken laws and rogue vampires who have hurt or trespassed through clan lands.
