Chapter 7 (Maddie's POV)

"I found it!"

I followed the sound of my friend when I found her on the patio.

"I found the path," Bree said pointing to the clearing of tall grass that surrounded the beach dunes.

Bree and I had spent a couple of minutes trying to find the path that would lead us to the ocean. We walked down the steps of the patio, past the pool, and continued on the trail. The bright sun shone down on us as we walked. Finally we reached the beach. Gazing out to the sea, it looked like the water went on forever. Bree and I soaked in the view before turning to hear our names being called. Niall and Max stood near a volleyball net. Niall was bumping the ball in the air to himself, not even looking at us. The boys only had swimtrunks on, abs showing off.

"Wanna play some volleyball?" Max called to us.

"No thanks," Bree answered. "We want to get our tan on, but maybe later.

I was never one to tan, but I sure needed to lie down after our long trip. Bree spread out a blanket on the sand. We laid down peacefully. The sun burned my eyes so Bree lent me a pair of her sunglasses. Now comfortable, I feel into a soft nap.

I was woken up from my nap to small shakes. Gradually, they became more forced.

"Maddie," Bree urged. "Maddie wake up!"

Hastily, I sat up. "What?" I groaned.

"Look to the left," she whispered. "There's a super hot guy over there."

I followed her eyesight. It landed on a tall male, well built. He stood not too far away. His eyes watched the sea. Suddenly, he looked over to us. The male swept some of his curls back before proceeding towards us. A grin was plastered on his face.

"Hello ladies," he said inching closer.

"H-hey," Bree stuttered.

"I'm Harry," he introduced himself.

"Bree," she replied smiling uncontrollably. Harry turned to me.

"Oh, uh I'm Maddie," I sat shyly. Harry sat down across from us.

"You two are both very beautiful," he began. I was a bit shocked at his forwardness. "Do you live here?"

"No we just arrived today, only vacation." I let Bree do the talking. I was silently admiring the boy in front of me. I have to admit, he's beautiful. Harry seemed like such a bad boy, and for some reason, I love it.
