"I could get a doctor, i'm sure there's one here," Klaus said, looking around the party in panic. She's a fragile human after all.

"What? No, I need alcohol," Isabel rolled her eyes before grabbing Rebekah's hand, leaving her brothers.

"Where is Stefan?" Isabel asked, in desperate need for a change of conversation as the pair reach the bar.

"I'm not sure, he said he was looking for the restroom," Rebekah shrugged, looking around for a moment.

"Speaking of, do you mind...?" Rebekah said after a second, realizing he was most likely feeding on someone.

"No, go," Isabel said, smiling her fake mega watt smile. Rebekah shot her one last smile before disappearing into the crowd.

"Where is Rebekah?" a voice startled Isabel who turned around to see Stefan.

"Looking for you, eyebrows," Isabel said, dropping her fake joy. Not particularly caring what Stefan thought.

"Ouch, someone's in a mood," Stefan said with a mock sadness, sitting down next to the birthday girl.

"Someone is still an emotionless bastard," Isabel said, drawing her index finger along the rim of her champagne glass.

"I might have something to turn that frown upside down," Stefan smiled, reaching into his inside coat pocket.

If Isabel didn't know Stefan as the emotionless vampire with funny hair, she would think he was being genuine.

"Take one of these and you will feel lovely," Stefan grinned, handing her a little white pill.

Isabel stared down at the little white pill in her palm before shrugging and tossing it into her mouth.

It is her birthday after all.

"Are you having a nice birthday?" Elijah asked as Isabel rejoined him, Klaus, Jason and Rebekah.

"Just dandy," Isabel said before bursting out laughing, her cheeks flushed.

"Are you drunk? It's only been fifteen minutes," Rebekah said, holding Elijah's wrist as she checked the time.

"What? No! Stefan, over there," Isabel said, gesturing to Stefan who sat at the bar, "gave me this wee little pill to turn my frown upside down,".

"He did what?" Jason exclaimed in shock at his sister.

"You are so nice AND YOU," Isabel practically yelled, looking at Klaus, "YOU are so pretty,"

Klaus couldn't help but awkwardly laugh and cough as his face flushed red, guests staring at the birthday girl in shock.

"Isabel, perhaps I can help you to bed?" Rebekah asked sweetly, wrapping her arm around her friend's waist and leading her away.

"You are quite pretty too, Elijah is pretty. I think you're all quite pretty," Isabel mumbled much to the Mikaelson's amusement.

______

After Rebekah thought she got Isabel to go to sleep she rejoined the party but Isabel had other plans as she walked barefoot in the ice cold gardens.

The fountain in the middle of the garden had little icicles as the fall colored leaves twirled around in the tempting pool.

Isabel tentatively dipped her small foot in the pool before squealing, plunging herself into the pool that was about 7ft deep.

"Isabel," Klaus said cautiously as he heard that squealing, he had excused himself from the party after Isabel left. It felt dull without her presence.

"Klaus Mikaelson," Isabel said flirtatiously, her elbows on the edge of the fountain.

"Why are you in a fountain?" Klaus couldn't help but laugh, sitting down next to her.

He couldn't help but see the resemblance of her to siren in that moment, gorgeous and dangerously seductive.

"Why are you not in a fountain?" Isabel asked, playing with Klaus's hand like a child might.

"Because it's bloody 30 degrees in November," Klaus said, realizing how cold her fingers were.

Standing up, with ease Klaus pulled her shivering body out of the fountain and next to him. Swiftly pulling off his coat he wrapped it around her shoulders and picked up her shivering frame.

"I got you, love," Klaus said as Isabel traced his profile with her ice cold finger tips, without drawing any attention Klaus got her in through the back and up to her room.

Klaus laid her in her bed, laying any blanket he could find until he was sure she wouldn't die of hypothermia. Then he turned to leave.

"Klaus, stay with me," Isabel murmured in her tired state. Without a word he sat down in a chair before jumping at the sound of Isabel groaning.

"No, Niklaus! Hold me, i'm cold," Isabel murmured angrily and didn't relax until she felt the bed dip beside her.
