Chapter 11 - Recording

Start from the beginning

"Awww, thanks guys!" I squeaked, my voice going hoarse.

"Why are you all dressed?" JC questioned, his morning voice coming out a bit.

"I have to do some stuff with Trev today," Connor grinned at me, & returned to his cleaning, "But I got to leave like.... Now, so are you guys going to stay here?"

"Nah, we're heading back to Kian's." Ricky's lisp came out, & I giggled slightly.

"Alright, bye, guys!" I all hugged them, & Connor whispered something in my ear.

"I'll see you soon, Tabs." The rasp in his voice came out, & I just nodded.

"Just stay here, because I have the keys. Bye, dude." I patted Connor's back, & he agreed to stay back. I put my keys & phone in my pocket, grabbed my longboard, & headed towards Trevor's recording studio, since he gave me the details. I stopped at Starbucks, & I ran into someone I never thought I'd see again.

"Tabitha?" His voice croaked, & I bit my lip.

"Hey, Blake." I said nicely, & he waved. His brown hair was all sweeped up in a quiff, his brown eyes bigger than ever, his tan is still the same. Green American Eagle tee, grey jeans, & fullout black Vans.

"What's up, Tab?" He smiled, & I gulped. I didn't know how to respond, I was still mad at him for what he did back in 7th grade.

"Uh, just getting a coffee. I assume you're doing the same?" My voice was getting hoarse again.

"Yeah. Hey, are you busy after this?"

"Yes." I rushed out my answer.

The person in front of me got theur coffee & walked off.

"Welcome to Starbucks, how may I help you?" The man asked nicely, & I gave him a smile.

"I'll have a-" I was cut off.

"One Caramel Frappuccino Blended Beverage with extra whipped cream & a Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino Blended Beverage with extra cookie crumbs but no peanut butter cookies, thank you." Blake ended with a smile, & handed the worker a ten dollar bill. When the man put it in the cash register, he started making the drinks & I faced Blake.

"Why are you so nice to me suddenly, Blake?"

"Why not?"

"You remember what you did, & you still buy me coffee."

"Look, I tried apologizing for it, but you never wanted to listen."

"Because it was all bullshit. You know what you did was wrong, but you still did it anyways."

"Come on, it wasn't my fault!"

"Oh, so kissing her wasn't your doing?"

"I can ex-"

"Or, feeling up her shirt wasn't your doing, either?"

"Tab-"

"I don't know, maybe our broken friendship wasn't your fault either, aye?"

"Just let me explain-"

"Here's your drinks, sir. Names?"

"Rigby for the caramel & Mordecai for the other."

The man wrote down the names, & I stared at Blake. He still remembered the names we used, & what we would buy. He handed us our drinks, & I groaned a thanks to Blake.

"Hey, we'll keep in contact, right?"

"I don't know. Thanks, Blake." I smiled lightly, & longboarded away.
