Rosalind's POV
I watch Clay walk back to the house.
God, why can't he accept the truth? It would be so much easier for him.
I sigh and head back into the house to get something to eat. Once I am in I walk into the kitchen and grab a spoon and the jar of peanut butter.
Lately I've been craving everything from cupcakes to sushi - and I don't even like sushi.
As I start eating the peanut butter with the spoon my mom walks into the kitchen.
"Rose, you know better than that." My mom says giving me a faint smile.
I sigh and change the subject, "Mom, I'm worried about Clayton.""Darling, he is an alpha, he can handle this, okay? You just have to be there for him as much as you can." She kisses my cheek before grabbing the peanut butter out of my hands. I frown even more than I was before and leave the kitchen to Clayton's office.
I can't stand this depressed feeling in my body - and to think it's worse for Clayton.
