JACE

So it's already the middle of July when I came to see the Lightwood-Bane clothing store. Well, I've been in Calabasas since the first week of July. I came here because my grandmother Imogen wanted me to be close to her. Even though us, The Herondales are originated from London, Imogen wanted to live here in LA. Imogen have been living here for a year now and me being his youngest grandchild and a bachelor who's living the life to the fullest wanted a change. Imogen always been keeping tabs on me, it's like I'm still a kid. She always nags me about to get married, get settled, get a real life, stop partying, be like Will. I'm like, I'm not bloody William for Angel's sakes, who apparently is single right now. That's why I ended up here in LA with her, well not exactly with her, she approved of me getting my own place while she lives with The Herondale home in the countryside. Well, I called it country side because it's a nice neighborhood. With William never around always staying at his place in Hollywood, Imogen got the place by herself. Because William's parents never around. Well, my mom died few years ago and my dad being the depressed one left me and found a new family.

Izzy called me a while ago, telling me to meet her at her office at eleven. She told me that she wants me to meet her dearest best friend. Because apparently her best friend have been 'busy' for like a month and she just decided to meet up with them today.

When their building came to a view, I parked my Ferrari and can't help but stare at the Rover, it's the sleekest car I've ever seen. And it was parked next to Simon's car, I think. I swear Izzy marrying the nerdy type never crossed my mind, even though I'm her two times removed whatsoever cousin. I never got the chance to go to her wedding because of my 'busy schedule'.

So I go inside, greeted the employees and immediately barged into their office.

"Hey, Isabelle. Who owns that Carbon Fiber White Range? It's bee's knees..." I asked, not even bothering to get my own language straight. Because me being an English man.

"I'm sorry, Jace. What did you just say?" Isabelle looks at me baffled. I grinned looking at her. Actually them, they look baffled. Especially the redhead one, she's the beautiful thing I've ever seen. With her red hair, porcelain skin, little freckles assuming that she wasn't a fun of any makeup. Her little nose stud. Damn, she's beautiful. She was looking at me like she saw David Beckham or something then she shook her head and crack a smile.

"Did you just say business?" Izzy asked again, knowing, what she was saying. I was about to tell her again, but the red head beats me. Bollocks.

"I think he just said. My Rover is the dopest thing ever..." She says amusingly.

"Yeah. What she said..." I say grinning at her. I'm surprised that she knows English slang.

"I'm Jace..." I say walking towards her, grabbing her hand kissing the top of it. "Jace Herondale. " I say again. To my surprise when I look at her, she looks stunned. She cleared her throat and smiled.

"Clarissa Fairchild. But you can call me Clary..." She says. I nodded.

"For Angel's sakes. Jace would you stop the English slang. You're in LA now..." Izzy whines.

"Right. Sorry about that. So who are you again?" I say, and look at the redhead. She blushed as I flashed her my famous smirk.

"She's the best friend and I believe she just said her name was Clary..." Izzy retorts. I rolled my eyes and chuckle. Izzy nodded at me, well into the direction where my hand is, well our hands. I forget I haven't pulled my hand away.
