"Finally." I sigh to myself as I unlock the door to my apartment. After a long day of traveling I have never been so happy to be home. My vacation was finally over and it was back to the real world. However, my vacation was never really a vacation. It was the longest month of my life. I spent the last month in Pittsburgh practically living at the children's hospital watching my nephew fight for his life. Things were beginning to look up and my sister was practically forcing me to fly back to London.

I entered the apartment that I haven't seen in what feels like an eternity. The place was nicely picked up and I spotted my roommate on the couch playing on her phone. She soon jumped up and from the couch and ran over to me the moment she saw me.

"I'm so happy you are here!" She practically screams. She wrapped her arms around me giving me the tightest hug.

"I'm glad to be finally home." I sigh while putting my bags down.

"How was your flight? How's Mason? Do the doctors know yet?" She bombarded me with questions.

"The flight was smooth. Mason is stable. The surgery took a lot out of him and the doctors still haven't got the test results back." I frown. Mason has been in the hospital for over a month and was experiencing major problems with his heart. The problem was they couldn't figure out the cause. Last week they gave him a pacemaker and defibrillator but were still talking heart transplant after his complications post surgery.

"I'm happy he is finally doing better. Let me help you with those." Gemma says as she picks up my bags and starts walking towards my room. Soon as we step in my room I realized it has been untouched since I left. Clothes were still thrown everywhere from my rushing to packing all my belongings in a matter of hours when the news of Mason's hospitalization broke.

"Funny story, I ran into Mike." I say as I start picking up all my stuff off the floor. Mike was my ex fiancé who ended up being a nurse on Mason's floor.

"How awkward was that?" She glanced at me.

"Very. I haven't seen him since I left, you know?"

"Oh I bet. So do you want to grab dinner tonight? My brother and his band mates will be in town and invited us. I told them you may join depending on how you feel when you get back." She smiles at me trying to change the subject. Her brother was the infamous Harry Styles. I've hung out with him quite a few times. Mostly when he would come to visit Gemma on his breaks from tour.

"I would actually love that. Anything to get my mind off the last month." I say while putting my hair in a bun.

"Perfect! I'll send him a text and let you unpack." She says while leaving the room. I look down at my things and try to figure out where to begin.
