FLASHBACK-CHURCH-DAY
[MG and Mr. Greasley are left alone to talk.]
Mr. Greasley: Your mother. We got to go back home and tell your mother.
MG: Uh, sh-she knows. I told her. She... wanted me to spend some time alone with you.
Mr. Greasley: Oh. Well, then, let's go across the street to Tippy's diner and talk it over. Almond crumble, two scoops of vanilla. (chuckles) Yeah, yeah. Like we used to every Sunday after mass, huh?
Some smile at man.
MG: Yeah, um, I am kind of starving, but somebody might see me.
Mr. Greasley: I want the whole world to see you. Shout it out to the rooftops. My boy is back by the grace of God.
"How do you think he'll react when he founds out MG is vampire?" Asked Caroline. Stefan shrugged.
MG: Yeah, but... your campaign. No one will believe that it's real. They'll think you lied for votes.
Mr. Greasley: Well, if I lose an election over that, so be it. The truth is the truth.
MG: About that... I-I have something to show you. And I don't think you're gonna like it, but you taught me to-to live by my truth, and-and I want to honor that. [MG takes Mr. Greasley's pin and scratches Mr. Greasley's finger. When blood comes out, MG's face changes, but Mr. Greasley can't see because MG is looking down.]
MG: (Whispers to himself) Okay. You got this.
"You can." Encouraged Caroline.
Mr. Greasley: Son, what's happening?
MG: Don't hate me for this, Pop. I'm not human anymore. [MG looks up. Mr. Greasley gasps, stands up and stumbles back a little. MG's face goes back to normal.]
MG: I-I'm sorry.
Mr. Greasley: Dear God.
MG: Look, it's okay. It's okay. I'm-I'm working on controlling it. There's this school that I go to, and-and...
Mr. Greasley: In the name of almighty Jesus, get out of here! Begone!
Some wince. Yeah, that's reaction they were afraid of.
MG: Pops, it's-it's me. It's Milton.
Mr. Greasley: You're a demon.
MG: (compells) Stop!
MG: I'm a vampire. And I know you don't understand that, and I barely understand it myself, but that doesn't mean that I'm evil. I-I just have to try harder to be good. And I'd-I'd tell you to speak your truth, but I kind of have superpowers, so... you don't really have a choice.
Caroline remembers her and her mother's talk and secretly hopes this will end the way it did with her mother and not father.
MG: (Compells) And I want to know... Tell me... how do you feel about me right now? Me, your son?
Mr. Greasley: My son is dead.
"He just needs time to understand. It goes against everything he believes. He'll adjust." Said Caroline hopefully.
PRESENT-FOREST-NIGHT
MG: (crying) He didn't want me anymore.
Alaric: Listen, it takes time. It takes time for some parents to understand. I'll go back there.
"Alaric's right. Maybe we can convice him if he sees that you are still same person." Said Caroline.
Kaleb: I'll compel his intolerant ass.
MG: Don't bother. I took care of it.
FLASHBCAK-CHUCRCH-DAY
[MG stares at his father for few seconds. The tears up.]
MG: (crying) I'm still your boy, Pop. Th-The boy who-who sat here and watched you practice your sermons. The boy who still has a lot of good to do. But Mom was right. You're better off thinking that I'm dead.
People look at him with sympathy and sadness.
MG: (Compells) So you didn't see me here today. But always believe that... you're gonna see the... the boy that you love... again. [MG vamp-speeds away.]
"It's so sad." Said Davina.
PRESENT-FOREST-NIGHT
Kaleb: You're better off, man.
MG: He was right to be afraid of me, 'cause I can't control it.
"You just need a good teacher to help you in control." Said Audrey.
Alaric: Yes, you can. You can control it, okay? You've been working real hard at it, and when we get back to school, you're gonna keep working hard.
MG: I can't go back to that school, Dr. Saltzman. Not after what I did.
"What does he mean?" Asked Elijah.
Kaleb: Hey, hey, you didn't do anything. It's your sorry-ass parents, okay?They're the bad guys, not you.
MG: You're wrong. I'm a killer.
Kaleb: What's he talking about? [Rafael, Hope and Audrey jog there.]
Audrey: Hey.
Hope: Dr. Saltzman?
"You got there." Said Hayley relieved.
Alaric: Oh, thank God you made it.
Hope: What-What's going on?
Alaric: MG has a werewolf bite. He doesn't have much time. [MG is whimpering.]
Kaleb: Hey, hey. You're all right. Oh, my God. All right, now. Okay...
Rafael: I bit you.
Hope: What?
MG: This is all my fault. Raf, I'm so sorry.
"Why is he apologising if Rafael bit him?" Asked Kol.
Kaleb: What, sorry? What are you sorry for? He's the one that should be sorry. He's the fool that bit you. [Kaleb tries to attack, but everyone stops him.]
Rafael: No, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, stop. Don't move. [Rafael starts going backwards. Hope and Audrey go to him.]
Hope: Hey! Hey. Hey, what's going on?
Audrey: What's wrong?
Hope: What's going on? What? Hey.
Rafael: I remember now. The elixir. His face. Being back here... (Breathing deeply) I remember who the monster was.
Everyone looks eager and curious to find out.
FLASHBACK-FOREST-NIGHT
Rafael: I said run.
Landon: I told you I am not leaving you alone. [Landon takes stick from ground. Both Rafael and Landon are tense. Until they see MG.]
Landon: Damn it, MG. You s-scared the crap out of me.
Rafael: MG, you can't be here. I'm about to turn. It's not safe.
"I don't like this. Something's wrong." Said Freya.
MG: (to Landon) For him. 'Cause I'm about to kick his ass.
Landon: What? Why? [MG throws Landon away.]
Klaus's eyes widen in realisation and looks at Audrey questioningly. Audrey nods.
MG: This was all your fault. You made me come here. You rang that doorbell. You showed me that paper. And you put all your crap on me.
Rafael: Lan. Lan, get me out of these chains.
Landon: MG, I'm sorry. What happ... [MG punches Landon and Landon falls back.]
"He did it to help, not to harm." Said Hayley.
"That doesn't change he harmed." Said Caroline.
Rafael: Oh! Lan!
Landon: Okay, I deserve that. Now calm down! [MG sees blood and starts trembling.]
Stefan looks at MG empathetically.
Rafael: Hey, look at me. MG.
Landon: No. MG, you can fight this. You have to fight this. Please. [MG starts crying.]
MG: You don't understand. [Rafael groans as his bones break.]
MG: I don't have anything left to fight for. My dad was right. I'm a monster.
"No, you aren't." Said Stefan and Caroline.
Landon: (Quietly) You're not. [MG attacks Landon and starts feeding on him.]
"No, no, no!" Said Caroline, Stefan, Hayley and Davina. Hope looks away from screen.
Rafael: MG, no! MG! MG! [Landon drops dead. Rafael yells.]
PRESENT-FOREST-NIGHT
[Hope turns away crying. Audrey rushes at her and wraps her in her arms. Hope continues crying.]
MG: I did it. It was me. I'm the monster.
Alaric: When you finished your turn, y-you got loose and bit MG. Watching Landon die was too traumatic, too human, so you reverted back and scrambled your memory.
Rafael: I don't want to remember any of this.
"Poor boy." Frowned Hayley and Marcel.
"Landon was all he had. It's unfair!" Said Davina.
Alaric: Raf, where are you going?
Rafael: Away from MG before I finish the job.
Kaleb: Hey.
Rafael: Landon's body is out there. I'm gonna go find it.
MG: I was so mad. I wanted to h-hurt Landon. I didn't want his blood. I needed it. I needed all of it. 'Cause I'm not a monster. I'm a demon. So many demons in hell.
Stefan knows the feeling, so he can't help, but feel bad for MG.
Alaric: Okay, okay, all right, all right. Shh. [Audrey is hugging crying Hope tightly.]
Audrey: Shh. We are gonna go thought this. We'll go thought this, too. Together. [Hope doesn't respond, just cries.]
Despite the situation, Mikaelsons can't help, but smile at Audrey and Hope's relationship.
Kaleb: Dr. S.?
Alaric: Just... just give them a minute.
Kaleb: But what if they won't...
Alaric: Hope will. She will.
"Wow. Thanks for vote of confidence." Murmured Audrey.
[Audrey looks their way, then looks back to Hope, who started standing up.]
Hope: (to Alaric) I need your Knife.
[Alaric is giving Hope knife, when Audrey takes out her dagger, cuts her hand and feeds MG.]
"I didn't want Hope to be the one who fed her boyfriend's killer. She went through enough." Said Audrey.
[Rafael finds Landon's body. Hope and Audrey show up soon. Hope starts gasping and crying, Audrey is holding Hope's hand and stopping her from falling as they approach Landon.]
"Thank you." Said Hope to Audrey.
"I'm your sister. If i don't help you stand, who will?" Said Audrey. Hope smiles at her.
[Rafael is also kneeling next to Landon and crying. Hope gets out of Audrey's hold and kneels next to Landon's body. Single tear falls from Audrey's face at seeing her sister in so much pain, but she quickly wipes it away.]
"It's not good to bottle up your feelings." Said Hayley. Audrey shruggs.
ALARIC'S CAR-NIGHT
[Kaleb enters the car, he sits in passenger sit. Kaleb look back and see MG is sitting in back seat.]
Kaleb: I was trying to figure out why Dr. S needed a wingman today. Now I know. It's 'cause he knew you would. Look, MG, being a vampire... it... it ain't everything I say it is. It ain't about power. Or blood. Or being better than other people. I guess I...just say that stuff to make myself feel okay with the fact that... people like you and me... we got a big struggle ahead of us. A hard life.
Caroline looks proud of Kaleb.
Kaleb: And... But we can be in it together. It don't matter if your family don't get it. (Scoffs) It ain't black and white like that. Maybe they'll come around, maybe they won't. But hear this, brother. I'm your family now. Me. All right? [MG nods.]
"Aww." Said Audrey.
Kaleb: (exhales) All right. Let's, uh... let's go help them bring Landon home.
MG: Everyone's... everyone's gonna hate me now.
Kaleb: They're gonna have to come through me.
FOREST-NIGHT
[Alaric comes and sees Landon's corpse, Which is surrounded by Hope, Audrey and Rafael.]
Alaric: Oh, damn it. [Audrey is holding Hope as she cries for Landon. MG and Kaleb come, too. Rafael stands up to attack. Audrey does nothing to stop him, but Hope does.]
"Why didn't you stop him?" Asked Davina curiously.
"MG killed his brother. Accident or not, he did. I would do the same in his place and it wasn't my business to interfere." Said Audrey.
[She stands up and stands in front of Rafael.]
Hope: Raf. Raf. Please, Raf. Raf. Landon wouldn't want this. He wanted us to be better. Give him that respect. [Rafael nods. Hope and Rafael hug. Audrey watches them with sad, symapthetic look.]
MG: Uh. Am I still delusional or do y'all see this? [Landon's body starts smoking.]
"What the hell?!" Said Damon.
Rafael: Put him out.
Audrey: (confused) Adiuuatur. Uh...It's not working.
Hope: I... Wh-What's going on?
Alaric: I don't know. I've never seen anything like this. [Landon's body starts burning and then he turns to ash.]
Kaleb: Damn. [Hope starts to go to Landon, but Audrey stops her.]
Audrey: No. Not yet, not yet. I don't think it's over.
"What do you mean?" Asked Hayley.
"You will see." Winked Audrey.
Hope: What's not over? [Audrey is about to answer, but Alaric interrupts.]
Alaric: We've been wondering if he's supernatural. We have our answer.
Hope: What? [Ashes starts breaking and Landon gets up.]
Everyone watches it stunned.
Landon: What's going on? [Everyone is looking at Landon shocked.]
Alaric: You ever heard of the legend of the Phoenix?
"He is phoenix?" Asked Klaus.
