Chapter 17

MG'S DREAM
[MG is running away from something in forest.]
MG: Come on, man. I'm the lovable virgin. [Footsteps sound get closer.]
Everyone laughs.
"I love him!" Laughed Audrey.
MG: It's not my time. [Roar is heard.]
MG: I'm gonna open my eyes, and everything's gonna be fine. [MG closes his eyes.]
MG: Opening my eyes in three, two, one. [Mg yells. Big gorilla roars. MG wakes up panting. Then suddenly, ghostface attacks him and Mg screams.]
"Fun dream." Said Audrey.
SALVATORE SCHOOL-NIGHT
[Mg wakes up panting and after he calms down, he lays back.]
SALVATORE SCHOOL-KITCHEN- NIGHT
[Mg goes to kitchen and goes into fridge to take blood bag. When he closes the door Kaleb is there.]
Kaleb: Boo. [Mg jumps startled.]
Mg: Aah! [Kaleb laughs.]
MG: Come on, man.
Kaleb: Sorry, bruh. Too easy.
MG: Where were you? [Kaleb goes to towel and wipes his hands.]
Kaleb: Just got a little peckish. Went out for a midnight snack.
Caroline gave a disapproving look.
MG: Oh.
Kaleb: We good?
MG: Yup. All good.
Kaleb: Good... Night, then.
SALVATORE SCHOOL-HALL-DAY
Alaric: Given our recent influx of monsters, Sheriff Donovan and I have decided we need to take drastic action. Please give him your full attention.
"Not monsters." Murmurred Audrey.
"Why do not like that word so much?" Asked Marcel.
"Well, it's not good word to start with. And i grew up hearing how my father and my whole family are monsters. I just hate it, because they aren't monsters. I amn't delusional, i know they aren't good people and did some horrifing and terrifing things, but they don't see side of them i do. Every so called monster has story, no one is born evil and i find it wrong to call someone that." Said Audrey. Klaus kisses her head, Audrey smiles.
Matt: Like Dr. Saltzman was saying, local girls Dana Lilien and Sasha Stoteraux didn't come home last night. Dana sometimes skips town for a few days to party, but this is a first for Sasha.
"Another mo--creature?" Asked Stefan.
"Or Kaleb. He was feeding on her." Said Caroline.
Alaric: Thank you, Sheriff Donovan. Now while the Knife is away with Dorian and things are quiet on his end, it won't hurt to assume the worst.
If Dana and Sasha... [Mg is staring at Kaleb.]
Kaleb: Dude, if you don't stop mugging me. You heard Ol' Blue Eyes. Dana has a history of running away.
MG: I saw you feed on her.
Kaleb: Yeah, feed. Not kidnap. MG, I'm telling you... Vampire to vampire... This ain't on me.
"I think he is saying truth." Said Damon.
Alaric: Now, I'll need a few of you to volunteer to go to Mystic Falls High under the guise of an exchange program meant to improve relations between our schools, which, unfortunately, is necessary, given recent events. Now, I give you permission to compel them, to gather materials form locator spells, because any information we can get will make all the difference. [Lizzir stands up.]
Lizzie: Well, I guess that I can set aside my differences with Dana for a day, because that is what heroes. So... I volunteer as tribute.
Hope: She battles one gargoyle, and suddenly, she's Mother Teresa. [Audrey and Jed laugh.]
People laugh, too.
Kaleb: (to Mg) You're gonna be real embarrassed when I prove you wrong.
MG: I'm in.
Kaleb: I'm in, too.
Hope: I'd like to help.
Audrey: Me, too.
Jed: Me as well.
SALVATORE SCHOOL-GYM-DAY
[Alaric and Hope are talking while sparring.]
Alaric: Who are you, and what have you done with Hope Mikaelson?
Hope: I never got to go to a real school.
I've always wanted to know what it's like to be a normal for a day instead of being a tri-brid loner.
"I was in normal school. It's not much different. Just less supernaturals." Said Audrey.
Alaric: Yeah, well, that's a bed you made for yourself.
Hope: Not looking for a social lecture...
So, what's your plan with Landon? Does he, like, go here now?
Klaus glares at that.
Alaric: Why? You still thinking about murdering him? 'Cause there's a Knife that sat dormant for centuries that started attracting mythical creatures the day he took possession of it. I'd say there's a lot we need to learn about him.
"Yes, but he doesn'r have to be around my daughters for it!" Said Klaus.
Hope: And then what? We kick him to the curb?
Alaric: Then we decide to do what's best for the people of this school.
Hope: Any idea what to do with him while we search for missing mean girls?
Alaric: As a matter of fact, yes.
SALVATORE SCHOOL-LANDON AND RAFAEL'S DORM-DAY
[Rafael enters the room.]
Landon: Did they say anything about me?
Rafael: No, not yet. Everybody's been talking about some missing girls from your old high school.
Landon: Well, do you think they're gonna kick me out?
"They should!" Said Klaus.
"Why do hate him so much?" Asked Hope. Klaus gave her a look.
"I don't know... Maybe because he lied to my daughter and hurt her feeling?" Said Klaus sarcastically.
Rafael: They gave you some clothes. I think that's a good sign.
Landon: From 1979.
Rafael: Come on, man. We have both been places where nobody has wanted us before. You know the drill.
Landon: Yeah. Keep my head down, make myself useful, don't pick fights.
Hayley still felt symapthitic toward boy. She believes he is good guy.
Rafael: Exactly. We need today to go well, Ian.
Landon: No, we need this to go perfect.
Otherwise, I'm as good as gone.
Alaric: Landon. You have a minute? I think you might be of some use today.
MYSTIC FALLS HIGH SCHOOL-DAY
[We hear cheerleaders cheering. Mg comes out of bus, followed by Hope, Audrey, Jed, Kaleb, Lizzie and Landon. Landon accidentally bumps into Lizzie.]
Landon: Sorry. Sorry.
Lizzie: I was making an entrance, mophead.
"She is right on that one. I would be so mad, if someone ruined my entrance." Chuckled Caroline. Stefan and Klaus look at her amused.
Landon: Sorry. I just had a... a flashback to my freshman year here.
Lizzie: Girls are missing, so get your wedgie trauma in check or leave.
Hope: He's fine now. Let it go.
Lizzie: Okay, here's the deal. Landon, you talk to any of the people you still know from when you went here. Hope and Audrey, you try to not deliberately alienate the entire student body while the rest of us save the world. [Audrey rolls her eyes.]
Hope: This isn't a contest, Lizzie.
Lizzie: You're right. It's a mission for a hero and her league of... [Audrey and Jed look at each other and roll their eyes.]
"You look good friends." Said Hayley.
"Of course. He is my best friend." Said Audrey.
Lizzie: whatevers.
Kaleb: Yeah. Screw that. I work alone.
Lizzie: MG, I need your compulsion skills. Would you like to be the Robin to my Batwoman?
Audrey: Batwoman doesn't have Robin, moron.
MG: Actually, Batwoman doesn't have a Robin. She...
Lizzie: Metaphor, nerds. Let's go. [Audrey turns to Jed.]
Audrey: People really need to start apprecating effort i put into not becoming a serial killer. [Jed snorts.]
Kol and Klaus laugh. Others look amused, too.
SALVATORE SCHOOL-DAY
[Rafael sits next to Jossie.]
Josie: (Sighs) You know, the wolves usually eat outside.
Rafael: I'd rather hang with you.
"Aww." Said Caroline.
Josie: I didn't see you at the assembly.
Rafael: Kind of still figuring my way around this place. Why didn't you ditch like Landon and go play detective?
Josie: Well, I'm actually working on offensive spells for class. They only teach defensive magic here, but I personally think that the curriculum needs to evolve.
"See? Even Josie gets it. This school's curriculum is useless." Said Audrey.
Josie: What?
Rafael: Oh, nothing.
Josie: What?
Rafael: I'm still trying to wrap my head around this being a normal conversation here. [Both of them laugh.]
Josie: Got it. So... Meaning you're happy to be back?
Rafael: I'll be happy when I know that Landon can stay.
Josie: Then what if he can't? [Josie and Rafael are interrupted by loud laugher that's coming from werewolves.]
Josie: You are a wolf. You need pack, okay? That's how it works. You should join them.
Rafael: Their alpha isn't... very fond of me or Landon.
"I didn't have problem with Rafael. More i apprecated his loyalty. I just hated Landon and was annoyed at Rafael for defending him." Said Audrey.
Josie: I think you should try to talk to her.
MYSTIC FALLS HIGH-DAY
[Hope, Audrey and Jed are walking together, Landon is following them.]
Landon: This is the senior hallway, where I spent much of my formative years stuffed in every locker... except this one.
Audrey: I have 90 billion nerves, and he somehow manages to get on every single one of them. [Jed nods.]
"My poor nieces. Having to listen to that moron blabbing." Said Kol.
"Yeah. It was so hard. I could barely stop myself from knocking him out, so he would just shut up already." Pouted Audrey to Kol.
"I'm so sorry you had to endure it, Mischief." Said Kol. People look amused by their dramatics.
Jed: I swear if he doesn't shut up, i'll be the one stuffing him in locker.
Landon: That one doesn't open. On your left, you'll find the bathroom. It's where I had my first kiss with a toilet.
Hope: I'm sorry. Is the fact that I'm not openly hostile to you make it seem like we're back to being friends? [Audrey and Jed chuckle.]
"Yeah. Tell him!" Encouraged Klaus. Some laughed at him.
Landon: Uh, sorry. Just, I was going for effortlessly natural. But this is all just making me really nervous. Like, the school and seeing Connor and being with you... [Audrey makes throwing up motion. Jed chuckles.]
Hope: Shouldn't you be talking to anyone you know?
Landon: That's easier said than done. There is no way Dana's clique is talking to me unless you have a spell that will make me retroactively cool.
Hope: Well, I'll talk to them, then.
Audrey: We will.
Landon: It's even worse for you. Trust me. You have no idea how human high schools work. You're the new girl. Might as well be radioactive.
"Yes, but she is also hot and has mysterious aura. She will get on top of the chain easily." Said Caroline.
"True. I was popular in every school i moved to, when me and dad were travelling." Said Audrey.
Girl: I'm sorry. You look traumatized. Is this loser bothering you?
Hope: He keeps trying to get us to buy his mix tape.
"I love you." Laughed Audrey.
Girl: (Scoffs) Gross. Well, we're going to lunch. You hungry?
Audrey&Hope: Famished.
Girl: (flirtoulously; to Jed) Hi!
Jed: Hi.
